Bane better break his spine.
*based upon tedious fact checking.
No matter what happens in the story this will be the last one in the series. They've already made it clear that the next Batman movie will be starting over from scratch.
I wish someone could figure out how to make these superhero movies episodic, like they've managed to do with the comic books for 50 fucking years. It would be neat to have an established Batman storyline that can introduce different villains from film to film, and even allow different directors and actors to come in. James Bond has been able to handle it without having to reboot the series and have to re-tell origin stories all of the time.

They've done it before, Drinkey. It's called Superman Returns and it was godawful.
The next Batman movie might not be an origin, it just won't be a part of this series.
I would just be neat to be able to incorporate villains in an organic way like the animated series did. I love to see film versions of Killer Croc, Scarface, Clayface, Manbat, Mad hatter, Firefly, etc etc. Batman has too many cool lower-tier villains to just keep rehashing the big ones over and over again.
Superman has some great ones too, albeit not as iconic, so why the fuck would modern filmmakers with big budgets keep choosing Lex Luthor over awesome villains like Darkseid, Brainiac, or Metallo?

I find Lex Luthor to be a character too important to the overall mythos to not be there, even if he isn't the main villain. Like Magneto to the X-Men or Dr. Doom to the Fantastic Four, I think they should be there in some capacity.
If it were a really franchise with many sequels, that main villain doesn't have to be involved in every act though. Bring them back in with some new power or teaming up with some other bad guy every 3 or 4 movies.

I think it was Randy who brought up an awesome idea on how to make this series still good. Third movie ends with Bane breaking Batman's back, side plot of Two Face alive and biding his time. Fourth opens with the city in ruin and Two Face is running everything with some help from Bane. It was something to that degree, which could have been interesting. If Bane doesn't break his back, he will be poorly used.
I don't know why everyone is hating on Two Face in TDK, I thought it was good. Catwoman worries me more than any other villain, I've always thought her story arch was dumb.
Not to mention Anne Hathaway playing her...

I have my doubts about Hathaway playing a villainess, it's not her forté.
Let's not forgot Ra's Al Ghul is back, too.
I've seen both these movies and I still don't know who the fuck that is.
Can Nolan hire a competent action director for second unit? Can Bale annunciate? Stay tuned.
Well, to be fair we don't know how the character is going to be presented yet. It could just be flash backs. I'm pretty sure, however, that he's said that he intended to keep using the Joker had Heath Ledger not died and thrown a wrench in his plans.
Flashback or not, the fact he has to bring that character back AGAIN for whatever reason, just like he did with Scarecrow in TDK (seriously why the hell was he in that film, even if for a short few seconds?), proves comments like this:
are just plain stupid (like the Nolan/Batman fanboys themselves).Well luckily you aren't making these movies. Not to be a dick but to use the same villain in three separate films that belong to a franchise that has LEAGUES of them to choose from, several of which are flat out better or more interesting than Scarecrow, is just a waste.
This really upsets you doesnt it? I want to know what trauma took place in your life via 1987-1993.
