Maybe a few bad albums will get them back to playing medium sized venues and playing an "classic album" in its entirety.

Fever is pretty weak. Here's hoping the album is better. They have yet to let me down.

I just miss the days when it was just the two of them. I understand that their sound has to evolve but this just feels like El Camino pt. 2 .

Oh noes, they are still making songs that will appeal to people who listen to the radio.

These "bad albums" are what got them this huge in the first place. And they sold out Stales Center 2 nights in a row on that last album. You are crazy.

After seeing a lot of negative reaction, this made me realize that this song must be pretty good and they will have a successful next tour and album

I look at The Black Keys like this... they're putting out music that sells on the radio. I'm okay with that AS LONG AS they have a corresponding song (or number of songs) that is actually worth listening to. So I can stand "Gold on the Ceiling" if they have a "Little Black Submarines"... and I'm hoping they have a badass rock/blues number that makes me forget "Fever" when the record drops.

Brothers was perfectly balanced with radio listenable and gritty blues rock. We're definitely moving in the wrong direction, but if making radio songs gives them the cash money they need to keep making good songs as well, I won't complain too loudly.

And if you don't like "Little Black Submarines" you're a communist. Or whatever is considered evil in today's reality. Republican?

Oh, I think I liked it the first 5 or 6 THOUSAND times I heard it. By the time I reached 10 THOUSAND replays of the song, I was ready to kill everyone. It's too repetitive. Cut a minute out and it's charming enough.

Not listening to the radio is always a viable option.

Really? the song that sounds like a poor mans version of Mary Jane's Last Dance mixed with Stairway to Heaven??

But I do agree that I would be ok with the black keys of they did another Brothers type album. Brothers has 15 songs, and then two outtakes that were solid. So I can deal with the Howlin For you/Tighten Up/ Next Girl garbage if they back it up with a lot of solid tunes.

Turn Blue has 11 songs. 1 of them is god awful and the other has a nice little groove but nothing really too special. The other nine better be damn good..

It's alright. A little heavy on the falsetto. Weight of Love kills it though and there are some rad sounds that shine through the bullshit overproduction. Seriously they need to ditch Danger Mouse.
