unbelievable show. Amazing how they are able to make it seem like they are playing just for YOU. Greek Theatre, for it's size, already feels intimate; but that show seemed so personal.

Also, I had 2 cackling dumb broads to my right at the front part of the lawn. They didn't ruin it, but I did feel like punching them.

Show was great as expected. Loved to see Beth up there smiling and having a good time
Left side of the stage. She came and sat with two friends, smoked and was loud, then left.

And the show absolutely seemed to fly by.

Last night was brilliant. I kept getting goose bumps and really did feel like they were performing for ME. I totally disagree, HB, about the older tracks - those were the highlight for me. They've held up so well IMO, and kind of made me remember what I loved about the genre before it was ruined by generic garbage.

I felt so bad for sneezing and coughing constantly all through the set. I'm sure some of the people around us were not happy with me.

The old songs got the biggest applause in LA...appreciative crowd when they opened with two Third songs, but then they went fucking bonkers when Adrian played the first few notes of Mysterons.

Same for other older songs later on in the set.

I found myself LOVING "Third" more than the rest of their material after seeing the first show at ATP.I just wish their Serge Gainsbourg tribute song "Un Jour Comme un Autre - Anna" was more in this era.I also did not know what the deal was with the decal on my 12" single of The Rip til seeing the visuals.

Hey! Glad you went. We should have met up to say hi!

To sound very cliche, there were moments during the set where I was like, "I get trip-hop. I get it."

Speaking of which, "Threads' was the high point for me but Im biased since I think that might be my favorite song of theirs.
"All of you coachella 'regulars' have nasty boy pussies and itchy dick4's on your asses.
Why don't you all make like a tree and get chopped down and die. You all have been dreadfully mean to me.
I Hate you. All of you. None of you will ever get to see a womans chest meat or finger blast hott cougies like me.
Fuck you all. Consider this my resignation.
Fair the well, you elitest scumbags."

It was great seeing so many of you. As always, The Greek was gorgeous and the staff there was extremely friendly and courteous. I felt like the crowd was completely captivated throughout the entire show.

The couple who sat behind me were trying to figure out who the opener was, and they pulled up this thread from a google search exactly at the same time I was telling them that we were a group of avid Coachella-goers.

It did not compute at the time that they played "Chase the Tear." I thought it was strange how much they ignored the self-titled album though. I guess they are technically touring behind Third, so it makes sense. But still.

That was the only thing that bugged me but I expected it since they did the same at Coachella and the earlier shows this tour. It was an amazing show otherwise, and Loved the visuals during "Cowboys." it was great to see so many SF boardies, and I had a terrific time!

Heidi, thanks again for letting me stay with you. And Cara, thank you for suggesting that pizza place, it was delicious.

Very intense show. Crowd, venue and music all hit it just right. Love the greek theatre. These guys need to come back to the bay more often =)

Did anyone else catch LTJ that night? Was perfect timing as an after party, he killed it from 12:30-3am, made it for a perfect night of music!

Agreed. I left the show at the Greek thinking ' Portishead likes Third a lot more than I do'. Was disappointed they didn't play more from Portishead, just a lot of stuff from the first and third records. The largely acapella Wandering Star was the highlight.
