Did you try and buy a t-shirt from big Chris?
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

When Beth is singing your job is to shut the fuck up, there are breaks between the songs for cheers and all that shit. Plus I had a porno going down right infront of me the whole show because these 2 rollie pollies couldn't stop molesting eachother the entire show, homeboy even dropped his belt on the floor mid Portishead so I don't know what the fuck was happening. The crowd was better the first night in my opinion, but the show all together was better the second night.
This is precisely why I'm glad we didn't opt out for the LA shows when we were briefly considering doing so & stuck with our ATP tickets. I kind of figured the crowd would be shit, especially for a couple of irritable pricks like my wife and me.

Pretty much. There was barely anyone being rude or douchey at ATP, cause they knew better, and also were grateful motherfuckers. The funny thing was, the audience and age range at the shrine was the exact same as ATP. Except, it was l.a. people.

Any good captures of Chase the Tear or Threads? I was pleasantly surprised at how compelling and dynamic Chase the Tear was and Threads? Threads was just blistering. What you got, Milkshake?

    You got it, sugar.

I want to experience this again:

Perfect synthesis of vocals, instruments and visuals. Those last 2 minutes felt like a wall of fire was hitting me.

It was because the program handed out at ATP literally reiterated "Don't be an asshole."

not sure what it says bout Supre, or about LA Times, but this morning the LA Times had to print a correction regarding the review of the 1st show that ran the next day in the calendar section..

they retracted that the last time Portishead played LA was a show at the Palladium last year.

yup. the LA fucking times reporter who reviewed the Portishead show was such a good reporter and diehard fan that google was her primary source of research. lol

Anyone else near the rather violent fight that broke out on stage left/house right? Of course, the idiots had to get into a brawl during "The Rip" of all songs. This was the on the 19th. Also, anyone make out a single word that Beth said at the mic? I couldn't pick up anything, but I assume it was "Thanks for waiting, we'll be back for our annual Los Angeles area shows in January."

I was at the first night and one of the security was really nice. He was into the music as much as we were. It was amazing. One guy was taken out twice. Kept passing out. Weak. As far as the show goes. They were perfect. First time seeing them....definitely won't be the last. I had to jump over the rail to get a setlist and come to close to getting a hold of Beth G.

The whole setlist was perfect. Songs that stood out though were Machine Gun, Wandering Star, We Carry On, and Silence.
