RHCP is no where near as bad as KOL.
RHCP is no where near as bad as KOL.
That doesn't mean they should headline.

They've headlined twice. In 2003 and in 2007. Playing once every four years doesn't seem that crazy.
They're biggest fan base is in California so it would make sense for them to return to the stage at the biggest festival in California.
And RHCP is no where near as bad as Coldplay.
or Jack Johnson or The Killers for that matter, but they have the mainstream pull (which is needed at this festival, especially if they wanna sell twice as many tickets this year) of all of these bands. They need one shitty mainstream headliner every year. Deal with it. Go to the Sahara.
Over 1,500 bands in the past 12 years means there will be repeats. Just as long as it isn't Red Hot Chili Peppers, Coldplay, Lady Caca, Rolling Stones, or Tool.
Whiskey Sour
2 oz blended whiskey
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 cherry
1/2 slice lemon
Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.
wheres Pearl Jam...?
Coachella 07 (the introduction), 08 (the bands), 09 (the documentary), 10 (the people i came with), 11 (the relationship test... we passed), 12 (whatever the weather, Dirty Epic forever), 13 (the year of the troll)
- PEARL JAM WHY YOU HATE COACHELLA? -
Oddly enough, I think Radiohead is more likely this year than years past, what with the new record and the whole two weekends in a row fits with their whole less-of-a-carbon-footprint thing that they were doing the last time they did a major tour.
Red Hots are also the most likely, if I was just to guess (no American tour in 2011). Last time they headlined, it had only been 4 years since they had previously played.
Really hope Coldplay is NOT a headliner. Can't stand 'em, but I understand if they are booked for the shows.
I just don't believe Daft Punk will be doing shows anytime soon. No new dance music, and I don't think that a rehash of the Alive 06/07 tour would be their first prerogative.
Pulp wouldn't headline. Not that they don't want to or we here at the boards don't want them to, but let's face it, not as many people know them well here in the states.
I love the Beastie Boys, but I am not giving my hopes up that they will play. They will play when Yauch is 100%, and who knows for sure when that would be.
Kanye & Jay.... The encore.
Woof.

Yep, I can only hope the 'bad' headliner for next year is Coldplay....
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Coachella: 4/11-13 @ Empire Polo Fields
2 weekends = Big name headliners. They need to sell some Tickets and be sure of it.
Radiohead and Daft will be there
