    Default Queensryche

Coachella would be the perfect place to debut Operation Mindcrime III and show these kids what real rock is all about.

my girlfriend's older brother used to be OBSESSED with Queensryche.

My personal experience with this band was being in 6th grade at a christian school and a kid passing around a copy of Operation: Mindcrime to fellow students make copies of on cassettes like it was some underground rebellious thing. I admit it was one of my first exposures to heavy metal, but even then, with my burning desire to listen to secular music, i thought it was dumb. Years later I had the same feelings when drummer-nerd friends tried to get me into Dream Theater.

Could only make it through two minutes of that song, Grandma. And it was probably their big hit.

I think their fans are mostly musos. Rush, Queen, etc. Double neck guitar users.

I saw them in Puerto Rico. There were like 200 people in attendance. I'm not sure they could play for 50,000.

I liked them when I was a drummer... saw them perform Operation: Mindcrime in its entirety, very good show if a bit long. (Especially after Suicidal Tendencies opened) And yeah, I was into Rush and Primus and all those sorta musician-loved bands.... even if I was never a real musician.

That song was definitely not a hit, though. This was their biggest song by far:

But I loved this song from O:M, even if it was totally theatrical.
