Camera recommendations

My mother (who is over 70 and a luddite) is asking for recommendations on an easy to use, decent camera for under $100. Is there such a thing? The "easy to use" is important.


Edit: in case it wasn't clear--she is looking for a digital camera, has had a point-and-shoot film camera up until now.
