It was terminated a long time ago when I told you I strongly dislike Mew outside of the Belly Up, remember?

Did you? I dont recall that. I can see Mew being dislikable due to the dudes voice. M83 have been my favorite band for a few years now, so I may get slightly more defensive with them, although it's all in jest, obviously. You should give Team Ghost another spin, specifically the You Never Did Anything Wrong To Me EP.

Yeah, when I met you for the first time after the Grizzly Bear show. I asked you when you were going up to LA next, and you said for Mew, and I mentioned that I really hated their set when they opened for NIN the month prior.

I have a weird memory for these kinds of things.

I didn't know there was a Team Ghost/M83 connection. I'll have to check them out.

See that was a weird billing for them too. Trent may like them, but he should know that they just arent going to be the kind of band that people going to one of his last shows are going to want to hear. You might like it if you heard them out of that context. I dunno.

They just annoyed me. They seemed like they were trying to be so epic.

I had my own issues with the lead singer, but the drummer looking up in the air the whole time with wide eyes and a smile on his face like he was getting his knob polished under the kit didn't help anything.

Agreed. I'm surprised she's not discussed more on the boards.

It's very possible that the Team Ghost side of M83 is what I liked most. Although I still loved the last album.

I love it! October 18 is the album date. Here's the Soundcloud link if people prefer that.

Pitchfork has the track list and a brief excerpt from a press release where Anthony Gonzalez cites Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness as an influence on the ambition for this one.

Fantastic song. I have to ask, though: un-ironic sax solos are a thing now?
