    A) Good luck searching for "M83", B) Already apologized in said thread, C) Doesn't this deserve an album/tour cycle thread of its own?

Maybe this album will be what gets me into M83. I never got what everyone saw in Saturdays = Youth.

And yes, this deserves it's own thread. there will be a lot of discussion about this album.

That said, I was extremely excited by the new M83 tracks we have gotten this year so far, from the Red Riding Hood and Tron remix soundtracks.

I love the last album, but Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts is the one you should start with.

My two favorites were Before the Dawn Heals Us and Dead Cities... I never got into Saturdays=Youth, what I heard was fine I just never had it in regular rotation.

It definitely is the oddman out among the albums as far as sound goes. It's probably my personal favorite, but not a huge indicator of what Gonzales is all about.

The track "Run Into Flowers" is gold, pure fudgin' gold. And it is on Dead Cities. I have been hearing a few artists copying this sort of style of song: super dense sound/ambiance, with a looped and hard-to-decipher single lyric, but have always brushed it off because M83's is the obv best. I think James Blake sort of mimics that style. But yeah Anthony Gonzalez is genius with soundscapes.

Speaking of, they have compiled both EPs into a full length called We All Shine. If you are a fan of any M83 work, look into this band.

Ah, Team Ghost is an M83 side project more or less? I thought it was just some random blog band that Drinkey found like the Pencil Drawers or some shit.

M83 used to be two dudes. After the second record, one of the dudes split. He is now back and his band is called Team Ghost and they are certifiably awesome and I listen to them constantly but dont take my word for it readingggg rainnnnnnboooowwwwwwwwww.

I listened to one of their EPs once last year and thought it was ok, but didn't give it any further listens.
