it isnt going to sell out as quick because people are forced to purchase it along w/ the 3day. Instead of people being safe and just buying a car camping knowing it will sell out first....

ie you can not scalp the camping passes this year. I am guessing they will just check you id or something.

They already said wristbands can be scalp (je person who bought it does not have to use it).

They also said camping passes can only be used by the person who bought it.

Thus camping passes have to be a separate thing.

Plus stub hub IS selling wristbands but they are NOT selling camping passes.

tent camping seems like it would be for the more "hardcore" fan (ie people who use the board and others.

The "hardcore" fan is going to buy the tickets as soon as they possible can (ie first day of the presale).

The softer fan might wait a bit longer.

I am still guessing
a.) tent car camp for week 1 AND 2 sellout during presale
b.) week 1 sells out
c.) week 2 still has LOTS of tickets left after the presale

I think El Dorado will sell out last. Last year it took forever to sell out, but this year there are tickets attached so it will sell out quicker. It's not "VIP" enough for the attention whores who grab safari tents and VIP tickets so they can try to become BFFs with Katy Perry, and it's too upscale for those who prefer the rowdier camp experience.

That being said, we stayed there last year and are planning on staying there again as long as they offer it...incredibly relaxing, combined the best features of nicer accommodations while still maintaining a camping feel and proximity to the venue. I thought it was completely worth the money, the ability to dip your feet in the lake, wait five minutes for a shower, relax in the shade of a palm tree and use air conditioned toilets before walking less than ten minutes to the entrance (or thirty seconds to Spicy Pie) was perfect.

Yeah but the proximity was the deciding factor for us between this or a hotel. Five minutes to the front and next door to the car camping and farmer's market.

Coming from Michigan. Won't have the means of a car or transportation there, besides cab. Don't want to lug a tent and sleeping bags and pillows across the country and pay up the ass in extra airfare luggage fees. Don't want to have to deal with the airport potentially getting said luggage lost.

Weigh the price of Eldorado against all that and I don't have a problem with it.

If they are going to put tent campers in a faraway ghetto again they should just eliminate it entirely. Personally I am OK to just car camp.
