Is anyone actually gonna try to do both weekends? I'm thinking about it but if I do I don't want to drive back to LA for three days, unload my gear then put it back on the truck. I'm contemplating just going out to one of these off-campus camping areas and chilling out there until they let us back onto the Polo Fields. Anyone else thinking about doing that? What are the other campgrounds around the area?

I can't play this game - two coachellas would be too much time off work - but if I were, I'd go hang out in Joshua Tree National Park, which is a little to the east and a little to the north of the Coachella valley, and has campgrounds, and beautiful hiking.

I would think the 2nd weekend would be insanechella for LA locals, fuck packing and preparing etc, just buy a $20 shade canopy (FOOD4LESS, Indio, CA), bring a sleeping bag and a few cases of water. Any more prep than that is just silly for 2 weekends in a row from LA.

If you bring a foreign flag and talk in a terrible accent, chances are some local folk will "adopt" you and bam! Now you have beer pong, beer, food, women in bikinis, oh the life. Just don't slip that accent or you'll have travelfan and his USC frat bros get at you.
