I love this.
hicks is probably my favorite comic next to pryor. he was funny along with insightful, a combination that doesn't happen too often. like with richard pryor, george carlin, lenny bruce, and now chris rock.

I watched Funny People last week and the life of a struggling comic must really suck. It's no wonder so many are addicts.
every few months, i fall back in love with dylan moran.

Sasquatch Festival
George Carlin.

So David Cross has this bit about the dude from Inside the Actor's Studio... It's pretty scathing. Brutal... like most of his stuff.
I wonder if it came before or after their scenes in Arrested Development.... I wonder what James Lipton thinks...
I'll be at Patton Oswalt at the Largo on the 29th, and probably Fred Armisen since Aziz Ansari is opening.
Great idea for a thread! I'm so relieved that no one has posted any Dane Cook. I feel almost silly posting this here, because what Izzard does is not quite stand-up; at least not tell a few jokes and do a few routines stand-up. His comedy specials are incredibly funny. The first time I saw him live my cheeks were literally aching from laughing so much by the end of the evening.
If you've never seen it, rent Dress to Kill. You'll see Izzard at the absolute height of his comedic pours. He's a pretty good actor, but he's a great comedian. This is from Dress to Kill:
Pete Holmes - LA based comedian. more well known for his voice acting of the eTrade baby. he's done a lot of work with funny or die as well. not the funniest guy on the planet, but he's my favorite comedian at the moment
saw him live once in NYC, free show w/ Zach Galifianakis to boot at housing works in SOHO.
here's his main websiteL http://www.peteholmes.com/
