Do you think tickets will sell out this week???
I'm hoping not but I'm worried... I want to see what the lineup will be like before I buy tickets but I also don't want to not buy tickets and miss something awesome

Ignore me. I had the wrong info. >_<

If advanced tickets sell out then there will not be any left to sell after the lineup.
"As long as passes are still available, the remainder will be going on sale once the line up is announced. If you want to guarantee yourself a pass, purchase in full or via the payment plan now. "
I'm not sure if the advance tickets will sell out since a lot of people don't buy the tickets without seeing the lineup but then there may be more people that don't care and just wanna go for the first time. I don't care about the lineup but I'm still concerned since I probably won't be able to get the money in the next week sadly.
Coachella - '09 '10 '11 '12 (#1) '13 (#1)
ACL sells out without a lineup, chances are high this will too... although two weekends mitigates that.
If you're going to go, step up to the plate or be mocked later. The boardies were nice about slackers this year, next year we'll laugh at everybody who whines about being ticketless. Ten months notice is plenty.
I wonder how many tickets they sold in the past three hours.
Correction, ACL sells out of the tickets they put on sale without a line up. THEN, they put tickets onsale after the line up is posted. So they really dont sell all their tickets up front with no bands announced. Glastonbury really does ''sell out'' without a line up. If Coachella does this week, it'll join Glasto.
This is such a different situation than Layaway in previous years, where everyone nonchalantly rolled in when they felt like it before all the Ticketmaster people lost their minds later.
I'm just saying... we have no idea what 2011 or 2010 would have been like if every boardie and their brother went online to buy layaway simultaneously.
nobody who goes to coachella actually cares about the lineup except us.
12/1 Stooges-Palladium
12/12 Jay-z & Kanye -Staples Center
12/15 Black Star- Club Nokia
I'm telling people once weekend 1 sells out so will 2. Everyone (like me) who thinks they can wait til Jan will slack. Then once week 1 sells out say fuck it and grab a week 2 because they can't miss Coachella. And scalpers will grab them to cause they know a bunch of us will still miss out cause of the short notice and don't have money now
I think Weekend 1 will sell out by the end of this weekend
Nothing is predictable at this point. I thought for sure that 2011 passes would be scalping for near face by the time of the show.... for the most part, folks were still paying $500+, even with the weakest set of headliners we could have expected.
I wouldn't be shocked if both weekends sell out in the presale, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it thins the herd enough that neither sells out.
But the other poster was partly right when he said we're the only ones who care about the lineup.... in that, we're the only ones who think about trampled grass, the heat difference, etc. Common folks will be like "Which week is closest to Spring Break" or "Which week is ____'s wedding?" instead of thinking about 106 degrees by noon or muddy walkways.
I decided on Week One because they do Week One EVERY year and they've got it down pretty well. They've never done Week Two before (not counting Stagecoach as a Week Two). To all those who argue Week One will smooth out the quirks, I think they'll pop up in the week between shows, if there are many at all.
Plus, gate-crashers might hold off to hear what worked in the first weekend, and procrastinators who just naturally dump everything on the last minute. Week One ftw!
It went from "plenty of tickets available" to "still available"...
Does that mean anything? Haha, what a mindfuck. Just glad I got mine.
thats not true at all about people don't care about the line up xept people here..i've had 2 cousins and a couple friends text me about this already and they all like crappy music, their all pretty much the people who went this year because of kanye...both weekends will sell out 100%..maybe not until the lineup but GV is not stupid, they know what the fuck they're doing! buy your tickets now with layway and if you don't like the lineup..sell your ticket as you won't have any problem whatsoever!
Lick an orange, it tastes like an orange. Lick a pineapple, it tastes like a pineapple. Go ahead, try it. Try some more. The strawberries taste like strawberries. The snozzberries taste like snozzberries! We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams. Come along, come along.
Some indication of a sell-out would be noticeable if VIP sell-out. Those sold out within the first two days and weren't available on layaway last year. If those go, it's probably an early sign this week might sell-out.
Coachella 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12[1+2], 13[1+2]
Unlike last year, however, I bet the first announcement of the sell-out of any item (even shuttle pass or VIP or whatever) will result in a stampede. As of right now everything is still available, if anything sells out this week it will be Weekend One and it will be right at the end of the week.
Message change from "plenty available" to just "tickets are still available".
Hmm...
both locked down.
is there any way to have an indication of how many tickets have been sold thus far? who's got the inside scoop?
06/17: Tame Impala @ Tabernacle (ATL)
06/20: Kendrick Lamar @ Tabernacle (ATL)
06/29: Bob Dylan, Wilco, MMJ, Bob Weir @ Aaron's Amphitheatre (ATL)
08/09: Outside Lands (SF)
09/27: UMO @ Troubadour (LA)
10/23: James Blake @ Hollywood Forever Cemetery (LA)
There was no special forfeit thing so please don't spread false info.
Anyone who's credit card is rejected and doesn't fix it will forfeit their order, regardless of how far along they are in the process. No money back and no passes. I said there were very few instances of that happening.
