What do a renowned avant-garde composer, a buzzy California alt hip-hop act and a dub techno maestro have in common? They’re joining the Moogfest lineup on Monday. Let the guessing begin!
    Harold Budd, Death Grips, annnnnd...?

    Moogfest
We're pleased to welcome our latest additions to the Moogfest lineup: the explosive, in-your-face Death Grips, wildly influential composer Harold Budd with bassist Keith Lowe and Andy Stott, a producer intent on pushing the boundaries of techno.

I actually guessed all 3 correctly on their Facebook page but didn't say Budd with Keith Lowe. Anyways, really solid additions. I'm even more excited now.

Schedule is up. Not many conflicts on my end. How's everyone else looking?

Lots of terrible conflicts on my end. Death Grips vs. Orbital vs. Tim Hecker & Daniel Lopatin, Primus vs. Squarepusher, Divine Fits vs. Actress, Richie Hawtin vs. Explosions in the Sky vs. GZA. Ugh, this is painful.

Really let down with the schedule especially on Saturday. There really is no good reason for the festival to not begin until 7:00 pm each night. An earlier start by an hour or two would take for of at least some of the conflicts.

Yeah, the 7 o clock start makes things more difficult, now they have to squeeze all of that into 7 hours. Plus with all the extra time to kill its going to be a chore to not be totally shit faced by the time the first act begins.

I personally don't mind the later start time too much, gives me time to explode Asheville a bit but the fact that it's a smaller lineup spread out among 5 stages in a shorter amount of time makes the schedule a clusterfuck. I'm gonna end up missing a lot of names I wanted to see

Would anyone mind donating some floor space for me and a friend Thursday night? We will be getting in a night earlier than we planned and only booked rooms for friday and saturday night. We will have delicious beer and will split hotel costs for the night.

What an amazing weekend.. Everyone I saw was incredible but Pantha Du Prince and Prefuse 73 were the highlights of the festival for me.
