I've been to Highland Brewery which is pretty decent beer but what really impressed me was this bar off Patton street called "The Thirty Monk".This bar is two stories with the lower story seeming to be more focus on Belgium beers and thee other being more focus on "American" beers.

Highland is probably my favorite microbrew in Ashville (it's also one of the oldest). Wedge Brewing is a cool place to drink. It's in an old warehouse down by the French Broad River and has an interesting patio. Greenman Brewing at Jack of the Wood pub is good as well. The Laughing Seed Cafe above Greenman is one of the more popular vegetarian places in Ashville. If you get out of town, Pisgah Brewing in Black Mountain is awesome.

If you have a car and some free time I would drive up Blue Ridge Parkway for the sights or some hiking. Biltmore House is the other touristy thing to do.

Black Moth Super Rainbow just released a bunch of tour dates. They look like a pretty good possibility.

Orbital? Sold. This and Fun Fun Fun Fest will make for two amazing weekends.

Yeah I was already planning on going, but Orbital seals the deal. Orbital, Richie Hawtin, Justice and Squarepusher makes for a fantastic start and I am sure there will be even more awesome acts once the full lineup is released.

According to Infomoog, New Order, Portishead, The xx and John Talabot are not playing. I guess somebody asked on Moogfest's Facebook and they confirmed they won't be playing. Bummer, I was hoping New Order would be there.

And I guess Die Antwoord is likely. Bleh.

Noticed the other day that Pollstar lists Kid Koala for Voodoo Fest, but I haven't found any other sources to confirm this. If he does play Voodoo, I'd assume he'd be likely for Moog.
