This is probably half of the final lineup. There's some good names, some not good names and some names I need to learn

I like that lineup, though I doubt that I will be able to swing it this year.

Some really good stuff, despite some of the bigger unexciting names.

Most likely attending again, it's a great festival.

    M83!!!

Minus the extreme lack of EDM this looks like a great small lineup for me. Not sure how it could fit 3 days though even if they double the names

Edit: It's really good. The 15 acts I know I like! And the other acts (around 15) I have never heard of em so it's a possibility I could like them. Sucks this is so far

The initial line up is nice, and it being in Asheville makes it even better. I'm only 2 hours away, so I'll be there.

Huge UM fan, and looking forward to the stuff that's "newer" to me. The Asheville streets have to be a site to see during this.

Solid Line-up. I'm sure they will beef up the edm.

I really like the poster layout.

No thanks on Passion Pit, Ghostland Observatory, Chromeo, Umphrey's McGee but M83, Little Dragon, Flaming Lips, Suicide, Battles, Oneohtrix Point Never, Twin Shadow, Holly Fuck, Austra for the win.

Wow I just now noticed Tangerine Dream is playing.

It's hilarious to see Passion Pit billed that high. But whatever.

Also, which "Suicide" album is this? Don't they have 2 albums named "Suicide"?

What. The. Fuck. This line up is like peanut butter and motor oil sandwich. If you're excited about Tangerine Dream, you should be paying special attention to Roedelius too.

I was totally unaware until this article was posted that CANT was Chris Taylor's solo project with George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow.

Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor Unveils Solo Album

Collaborates with Twin Shadow on debut CANT album

In 2009, Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor released a solo single under the moniker CANT, "Ghosts", on his Terrible Records imprint. Now, CANT is back, and with a full-length in tow: Dreams Come True, due September 13 on Terrible Records (Warp will handle the release outside North America, where it will be released September 12). Taylor collaborated with George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow on the album.
    Check out the tracklist below:

    Dreams Come True:

    01 Too Late, Too Far
    02 Believe
    03 The Edge
    04 BANG
    05 (brokencollar)
    06 She's Found a Way Out

I live 2 hours away as well. I was only able to go friday of last year because I found out about the festival that morning. It was last minute but I still had a blast once I got there. This time I had plenty of time to plan out a solid weekend.

Here's the breakdown of the adds.

For those of you waiting patiently for MF Spaceman to make his glorious return, the time is now! Check out the new video announcing the second round of fantastic new acts for our second Moogfest lineup announcement! So hold on to your spacesuits, Moogheads, we've got some seriously awesome additions!

Joining the lineup will be Moby (with full band!) , Amon Tobin - bringing his incredible ISAM: Live that debuted at Mutek in June, Dan Deacon, Kode9, The Antlers, Atlas Sound, Glasser, Beak> (a second project from Portishead's Geoff Barrow), Stickmen (Tony Levin & Pat Mastelotto of King Crimson fame), Lunzproject, a rare live performance by two greatly influential musicians, Tim Story and Hans Joachim-Roedelius, and Wham City Comedy Tour. And needless to say, there are many stellar additions to come!

The final Moogfest 2011 lineup will ultimately feature performances by over 60 internationally acclaimed artists in numerous venues throughout downtown, including the Asheville Civic Center Arena, the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, and world-renowned Orange Peel Social & Pleasure Club. The festival will also host workshops, talks, interactive experiences and art exhibitions and installations.

The full lineup can be viewed at moogfest.com. To get your passes today, visit moogfest.com.
