Default So who's going both weekends?

If the lineup is stacked like most years, you can go both weekends and see completely different acts each weekend. No more conflicts, no more having to make excruciating decisions. So even though the lineup will be the same, you can have a completely different experience each weekend.

    So, who's going both weekends?

I never thought of the possible end to conflicts...

I have to attend both weekends. I don't know how the logistics will work for me and my friends but missing any days of Coachella is unthinkable.

I'm gonna try and make it happen, every year I have to miss several acts I want to see or split up sets.

I think the main advantage to going both weekends is that it solves conflicts.

That is, if everything is identical - same time slots/days for all the bands.
I wonder if they can use the second week to fix scheduling screwups (e.g. bands playing to bigger/smaller audiences than expected).

I would love to do both and when the layaway goes on sale I am going to get a ticket for each weekend. However the chances of me being able to attend both are pretty low.

As far as the conflict solver goes it only works if the set times are exactly the same. Also as much as conflicts suck I look at them as part of the festival and something that just has to be dealt with.

I agree totally. Missing Coachella is like the mother missing the birth of her child.

For the most part I'd think i'd be bored. There's easier and cheaper ways to solve a couple conflicts.

    Plus 2 Coachellas doesn't stop triple+ conflicts. Jay-Z/PIL/Fever Ray/Deadmaus direct conflicts wouldn't be solved.

After some discussion with my friends, we are buying travel packages for weekend 1. Will probably buy tickets for weekend 2, but I think we will actually go if:

    a) Daft Punk is a headliner. Wouldn't mind seeing twice.
    and/or
    b) stay with friends in Palm Springs & avoid the $400/nite hotels.

I don't know if anyone knows this but many bands actually go on tour after Coachella and play at a slew of festivals across the country and even the world.

What, you mean there are other festivals besides Coachella. No way. I thought the Pitchfork guide to summer music festivals was a belated April Fools prank.

Nice creativity, and congratulations on being one of the 20+ retards to make the exact same thread.

The most common rejection telemarketers hear is "not interested", usually followed by a quick hang up before a rebuttal can be stated. Folks, to avoid these calls, http://www.donotcall.gov

why do you some of you feel you must attend both weekends? when the time comes after weekend 1 a lot of you guys are going to be like "wtf",i don't think that many conflicts are going to make me go both weekends..maybe i'm too old to do this on back to back weekends..well i guess the only way is if the headliners are fucking amazing

Weirdly, I'd actually be more inclined to go if they shuffled the set times between weekends to mimize feelings of "deja vu".
