2 weekends?
2 weekends?
This could be a good thing. Or it could be really messy. Which weekend do you choose?

thats the problam which weekend do we choose...just another way for more money....for coachella
i hate corporations. no one really wants to see thom yorke or daft punk play the same shit twice. or how unfair would it be for an act to put on a mediocre show one weekend and a fantastic show the other? does goldenvoice really think this is a good idea? facebook, twitter, these boards and everywhere else i'm reading is all against it. please your fans GV not your pockets
Total kill, like every artist has the time to stay in Coachella for 2 weekends, GOOD luck
hes a noob. he doesnt know any better.

You only plan on selling ~140,000 tickets when you know something that the consumer doesn't. I bet they have a headliner locked (probably one that this board constantly wants) and want to give plenty of people a chance to see it.
As much as I don't like the idea, I think it alludes to something awesome being in the works behind the scenes.
Except it isn't. It's twice as alive.
I don't get the beef? Having two options give people who had issues with school an opportunity and for those poor souls who got screwed on tickets. And selling them this early is awesome. The monthly payment will be tiny. I'm stoked.
i'd like to know the age range of those freaking out versus those taking it in stride. is it the younger crowd so averse to the change? are us older people more apt to just go with the flow, knowing there are for more important things to worry about.
wonder if they get off on posting news and watching the bitchfest afterward. "Open the floodgates", "Roger that".
100% Caffeinated
there is definitely some laughing going on at some of the shit posted here...
There are definitely more important things in life to worry about, but obviously this is a very important weekend to a lot of people on here, so I think it's only natural for people to be upset with a change like this. Not to beat a dead horse, but some things should only happen once...like the whole arcade fire beach ball drop for example. That would just not be as cool the second time around. To try and replicate things like that is just lame if you ask me.
that's kind of sad.
Let's go on a livin' spree!
I'm guessing you have to pick which weekend you want when you order during the presale?
If so that kinda sucks, how am i supposed to pick nearly a year out in advance? so 2 days to sort out logistics like which weekend are my friends going, lodging, etc, etc. :/
The intention is to make more money with the same lineup, they just worded it in a way to make you feel like it's to help you out when it's really just greed. I will move on to new things now, coachella has lost what made it special.
More $$$ = Better lineup?
