im leaning towards week one but dont know....everything mentioned above by courtney in the cons list is what is bothering me, plus the chance of some acts being different.
most likely will be week one though.

Lord Huron -> C2C -> Beardyman -> Pete Tong -> Lee Scratch Perry -> Modest Mouse -> Beach House -> Purity Ring -> Jurassic 5 -> How to Destroy Angels -> Birdy Nam Nam -> Allen Stone -> The Selecter -> Puscifer -> Violent Femmes -> Simian Mobile Disco -> Moby -> Wild Belle -> Grimes -> James Blake -> Pretty Lights -> Wu-Tang -> OMD -> Roni Size & Dynamite Mc -> Dead Can Dance
The unimpeachably best reason to pick Weekend #1: the diehards will be there, making for a better crowd. The downmarket fans will all end up at Weekend #2 when they buy tickets after #1 sells out/the lineup is released.
We will definitely be there weekend 1. I only have to take off one day from work instead of two like past years.
Definitely weekend 1
Thankzzz.
Good bands will be good both times barring catastrophic technical problems. I'm fearing endless arguments over which set was better on this board more than I am the possibility of an inferior set.

Hell or highwater, fire and brimstone, not even cancer is powerful enough to keep me from Coachella!
It's fucking Coachella. If any band doesn't go all out at every set, then they probably suck anyway.
I feel like Weekend One people should construct an elaborate scavenger/treaure hunt on the grounds for the Weekend Two attendees that leads to a massive cache of Burgeritos. That'll show them.
Gotta go the first weekend.... got to!
There it is...
I'm losing my edge...
Also, all the equipment is likely to explode weekend #2 due to high heat.
If there's Coachella to be had, I'm gonna have it
First weekend for sure
Also, artists are less likely to have the Coachella Flu the first weekend.
If there's Coachella to be had, I'm gonna have it
signed - im still a little freaked out about two weekends/same bands - its ok though - i have a year to get used to it
As much as I would love to celebrate my birthday (Apr 20) at Coachella, my friends and I are deciding on weekend 1. We want to experience whatever magic is left first hand.
Weekend 1, I want the uniqueness...
Upcoming Shows:
Pitchfork Festival: 7/19 @ Union Park
Mountain Oasis Festival: 10/25-27
Coachella: 4/11-13 @ Empire Polo Fields
definitely goin weekend 1. not too sure how i feel about this yet however
the music is what its all about, you love it just like i love it.
We will only be able to make one weekend and the earlier the better and hope for the cooler weather option. Personally I do not have an issue with 2 Coachella's and I wish I could go to both:-) We won't be doing a big group thing though since Coachella does not really allow that to happen and will probably rent a house instead of the campground this time. Security was so lame I just don't want to deal with it again.
So with more clearly leaning toward weekend 1, does this mean we could easily get pushed out of presale and forced to go weekend 2?![]()
I'm hoping on weekend one, but its going to depend on my friends. I doubt weekend one is going to sell out without a line up on pre-sale. Its the casual fan, especially with the such the weak big name headliners as of late, that has sold out the last few coachellas; not the die hard music fans. Unless enough rich douches have started attending.
