Coachella 2012 Announcement Tuesday May 31st @ 10am

Mrs DA and I were discussing how if we knew for certain what next years dates were, we would pay for flights now given the chance of cheaper prices, rather than wait until the line up is announced next year.

Here in Scotland, a number tickets for 'T in the Park', go on sale soon after the event i.e. 11 months in advance. I guess to capture the post festival high regardless what the line up might be.

I'm hoping for dates to be confirmed and an advance ticket sale.

I cant see a headliner being announced, a year is a very long time in music - anything could happen.

Maybe they are adding a day, raising the price of 3-day passes for the fest thus prompting Goldenvoice to begin the layaway program months earlier than years past?

booo, if they toured it would take away from how special that ONE weekend a year is.

tickets dont seem like they will be an important announcement unless they are going to be doing the picture registration, in that case it would be wise to inform people of what to do well in advance.

The other thing that may be important enough to hype us up about this early is the possible addition of another day. Giving people enough time to plan/save for it would be a good idea.

Will tickets go on sale this early...i highly doubt it. Do they want to give us the chance to get prepared in advance for a big change to come...probably so

All I really hope for is some kind of discount this year if in fact tickets are going on sale this early. I only recall an early bird discount 1 year before since I've been going.
