Finally gave Echoes of Silence is listen today, and I enjoy it upon first listen more than Thursday. Abel's vocals are crisp and his songwriting keeps getting better with each release. I love "Outside," "The Fall," and "Same Old Song." Is it just me or does "Echoes of Silence" sample the piano from Death Cab's "Transatlanticism?"

Given that Abel has just begun the process of auditioning for touring musicians, I can't help but wonder if Coachella might be a bit soon given the limited amount of time they'd have together to prepare for an April show with this high of a profile?

Or maybe I'm just overestimating the amount of time a collection of band members new to each other would require for prep and practice before a tour. I'm not a musician myself so would be curious to hear thoughts from board members who are.

Well, The Weeknd has some concerts in Canada coming up soon and they have already performed live, so it's not like the songs haven't been produced in a live setting yet. All that is being added is a live guitarist.
