Mad props to the girl that yelled out for the song they started the encore with. That was fantastic, and it really seemed like they decided spur of the moment to play it. Setlist.fm says it was a Digital Mystikz cover? That's not the same cover they played in the encore at the Masonic Lodge, or is it?

I'm not sure what song it was, to be honest. I just copied the set from the photo that Supre provided onto setlist.fm, and if it was a spur of the moment decision (i.e. they played it instead of what was on the printed setlist) it was a different song. Setlist.fm added the cover info automatically.

And it's really just now starting to sink in how good that show was. While listening I thought it was really nice and mellow, but now I'm relistening to some songs, and seriously getting the chills (which has not happened with me for Blake's music before).

Pretty sure that was the Digital Mystikz cover. Makes sense since they dropped it from their set lists pretty early on.

Hello all. I had heard James Blake's "Limit to Your Love" a few times before, but it never really interested me much. Today, I am sick in bed with a fever, and I decided to finally give his album a spin. I did this, and then I listened to it again. And then I listened to it again. And now I'm listening to the EPs. I love the album. "I Never Learnt to Share" is the greatest song that I've heard in a long time, and this album is easily my favorite of the year, so far. I even enjoy "Limit to Your Love" more, now that I hear it with the rest of the album. I like the dubstep songs too, which is something I never thought I'd say. Right now, I'm hearing the Klavierwerke EP, which has been very relaxing.

^ That's great to hear, Alchemy.

Art Department dropped "Limit to Your Love" last night and it was so fucking sexy. I never thought about how that track could be used on a dance floor. It destroyed.

"I Never Learnt to Share" is so haunting and beautiful. Listening to that walking through the streets of NYC is some lifechanging shit.

So Art Department actually played a Daniel Bortz edit of "Limit to Your Love," they use it in their essential mix as well. So smooth.

If he was going to play Coachella, it would have been in 2011 and not this year. I'm pretty sure he's releasing a new full length sometime in 2012, and if that's true I bet he'll be on the bill for 2013.

EDIT - that Joni Mitchell cover is fantastic.

So, James Blake at Pyramid Lake (for symbifestival) was fucking incredible. Live drummer, guitarist, and then him....stretching out tracks and jamming them out. I really hope some videos of it surface.

He played as the sun was setting over the lake after the eclipse and used the word "Cosmic" to describe how he felt playing at that place at that time. A few friends who I was camping with had never listened to him before and were stunned.

That shit was completely other. The sunset would not end. That landscape was just something else. I was balling my eyes out during lindesfarne. One of the best performances I've ever seen. Really don't know where to put that on my lists of greats.
