I endured about 10 minutes of morillo at ultra and i can confirm that it was really fucking bad. The worst part about the show is that he would have a close up visual of himself where he would introduce the song and singer and he's about the ugliest human on earth. Im pretty sure he just pressed play on a dvd.

Anyone remember the thread where people were pumping up Morillo as a house legend? Yeah, I think that theory was debunked at several festivals this year already.

ummm.... the guy is a complete legend...why wouldn't he be...13 seasons at Pacha in Ibiza can justify that alone. Seriously, what's your case why he's not?

The case on why hes not a legend is because he produced total crap and didnt do shit while djing on this tour.

really dude? so what "your biggest record ever" determines your legacy? not the fact your one of the founders of a fucking genre? resident DJ for the biggest clubs in the world... Pacha Ibiza & NYC, Crobar, Vegas, Avalon Hollywood....producer for the stars, record label owner... brand owner... the list goes on and on.. that fact you would relate him to one record is the fact you know shit about him, the genre and have your head completely up pop cultures ass(or your chic on indie)... do your homework son... you sound childish with " I like to move it move" as your backing... Erick put house music on the mainstream map so dudes like you could not give a fuck... OWNED!

I think landing the gig alone at Coachella would equate to something (what have you produced and where have you played?)...and what...it's considered crap cause you didn't like it? man you fuckers are closed minded...

do you? nearly every word of [his] post could be applied to Steve Aoki. and nobody considers him a legend. so [his] criteria for Erick Morillo to be a legend seems weak..

House music has been around long before Erick fucking Morillo was producing anything anyone listened to. Ever heard of Derrick Carter? Jesse Saunders? Lil Louis? Marshall Jefferson? Steve Hurley? Farley Jackmaster Funk?

One of the founders? You're a retard.

Do you realize how many shit, cheese DJ's have held residencies at the biggest clubs in the world? That argument holds no validity whatsoever. How many of these guys own their own record label? Deadmau5 does... I guess he will be regarded as a founding father of progressive house, right? Brand owner? Who gives a fuck? We're talking about music.

The fact that you can draw that conclusion from THAT comment shows just how much of a moron you are. When your biggest produced record ever is one of the worst pop house songs ever, it shows how much of a joke you are.

For someone who claims that Morillo helped pioneer house music, the fact you are telling me to do homework shows just how little you fucking know and how laughable your comment is. How does my argument sound childish? Because I am bashing a DJ you have posters of all over your wall? Newsflash jackass... no one gives a shit about Erick Morillo these days. He is NOT a pioneer of any genre of EDM.

Decades? You're a tard. Derrick Carter is older than Morillo and began playing around the same time Morillo did, if not sooner. Derrick Carter released work before Morillo did. For example, Carter released an EP with Mark Farina in the 80's. Morillo's first EP was in 92. Carter's ability to simultaneously spin on three turntables flawlessly makes him waaaaaay more legendary than Morillo - a cheese artist who isn't that good.

And you don't like Morillo? I call bullshit. No one sticks up for an artist this much without enjoying their music. You're full of shit.
