The lineup for the second annual Great American Techno Festival -- slated to take place this year at Beta, Casselman's, NORAD Dance Bar and Skyline Park from Thursday, September 13 through Sunday, September 16 -- has just been announced. Last year, techno ambassador John Templeton and a small army of volunteers working with a limited budget put together an impressive four-day event that included some of the biggest acts in American techno playing alongside many of Denver's best producers and DJs. This year's lineup -- which features heavyweights like Detroit legend Kevin Saunderson and Los Angeles's John Tejada -- is bigger and better.

I assumed it was like Rrose Sélavy, which is pronounced "arr-rose" (like the word "Eros") -- that's how I heard the event staff pronouncing it too.

Agreed. That has always been my issue with Medusa Lounge, the sound. It's disappointing that they don't fix that, because the talent they bring to that place are more than deserving of a proper sound system. Also, that was one of the worst crowds I have ever encountered at Medusa. Oh well.

That set was quite a spectacular journey though, still buzzing from the ride. He dropped a few Aquaplano tracks, which proved to be highlights for me. Hope his back feels better, Dozzy looked the chancellor of techno sitting down overlooking the dance floor.
