That would be so nice. Though I'm not fond of that place as a venue. I get pissy when I spent the majority of my time in the venue in either a restroom or bar line.

Already corrected.
This is such exciting news.
Not the best venue in the city but if the Bunker guys are curating I'm sure they'll see to it that the sound is up to snuff. And that's really my main concern. The crowd will be good, owing to the nature of the music on offer.

Wow, by the end of the summer I'll have spent quite a bit of time in SF this year. I'll be up for both those dates. Can't pass up a chance to catch Tobias and more Dozzy.
Also looks like Droid is doing a CLR showcase July 21st, probably an Interface for those not interested in SF.
Edit: I would also like to point out that 7.21 is the last VFTL tour date in North America. Crossing fingers for a VFTL set!

Oooh. That would be nice. Bunker will almost certainly be handling an VFTL NYC date. Hope they make it happen here.
Techno summer indeed. Heidi don't be surprised if I end up doing some more of my 12 hours trips for these shows.![]()
4/19-4/21 Coachella
5/3-5/5 Denver
5/18 Agoria/Stacey Pullen (NYC)
5/25-5/27 DEMF (Detroit)
6/5 Bjork (Palladium)
6/13-6/15 Sonar (Spain)
You better! You know you could crash at my place, too, if you actually decided to sleep on these trips.![]()
Well if I didn't have 8 million things planned in a weekend I would stay. 7/21 will have to be a quick hitter because I'm volunteering at a tennis tournament the next day for 7 hours. But I'm not going to let that stop me from having some fun!

So this is a shameless plug, but my brother developed a website called mixture.fm. It's a site that consolidates and allows you to stream dj mixes (right now there is only FACT and Essential mixes out there, but it's still in the beta phase and I'm pretty sure he is going to add more). You can also search and share mixes on Facebook and twitter. Will you guys check it out and maybe give some feedback? Like what other mix series would be worth putting out there, site design and navigation issues, etc. plur, bitches.
edit: fuck it I'm starting a thread

RAPE STOVE
white power?!
Demdike Stare and Tropic of Cancer were both ace last night. The show was held in the loft at Public Works as opposed to the main room, which surprised me. The soundsystem had obviously been been reinforced but they opted not to unleash its full potential until Demdike Stare came on. Guedita and I were not at all prepared for the cacophonous wall of sound that kicked things off in earnest. We were genuinely frightened, haha. In the best way possible of course.
And I'm fairly certain Silent Servant was handling sound for Tropic of Cancer. Can any LA heads confirm that?
As w/ the LA show, they had a DJ playing techno, industrial and new wavish stuff during the interludes.
Yes. I was tingling and terrified. I haven't bodily experienced music like that in a while.
Though apparently I looked out of place at the show because a brooding noise type lad made it a point to ask me if I knew who was coming on next and was then surprised that I was able to answer.

Hahaha.
"Good thing you know that ..."
We stuck out like sore thumbs mostly on account of our interest in dancing. Deep in the bowels of hipsterdom last night.
I was wondering if the tingling was just me.
The guy next to us actually SHOVED me, hard, when I was dancing near him, and then gave me a big smile. What a boring crowd that was. Show was excellent though.
I fucking hate people who think they are too cool to dance. I boogie like my life depends on it.
Really wish I could have made it to one of those Demdike shows. I had friends who drove up to LA for it, but alas I am not 21US government is breaking my balls over here.
^ playing Sonar. Need to check out.
Edit: Guess I will be catching him at Fabric in June too.

I loved em. Sort of a psychadelic version of Blondes w/ a vocalist. Guedita was put off by his voice but I thought it was wonderfully suited to the music. Will def try and check em out again.
Interesting crowd. No one I spoke to was really into proper techno. A few of the regulars were there but it was mostly people I never see at shows. Got the feeling it was more noise/synth/drone type heads (excuse the clumsy characterization - not a scene w/ which I have any familiarity).

I thought his voice was too deep and warbled at times, yeah. But I enjoyed them a lot.
Nate, you should come up in June for Magda + BNJMN at Treasure Island. Or is that 21 + too?

All ages.
Hmm sounds like my cup of tea. Looks like they perform pretty frequently in the bay area but not much in LA, I'll give them a shot if I get a chance.

I liked Water Borders a lot and think the Blondes comparison is fair. A lot of the stuff from last night kind of reminded me of a more noise-influenced darkwave. I suppose a lot of that gets lumped into witch house now? Crap, I like witch house.
You're saying you've never heard of rape gaze?

I already have this covered. It's actually ⊆‡|ΔρE†
admittedly, not very haunted sounding.
You're right ... that sounds better.
