Dozzy's K is getting a reissue. I almost bought this last month on discogs for $100, lowest dip in price in over a year. Less than 100 left, if you're interested.

They bumped up the repress to 2000. Sometimes I wonder if the count is always low to encourage purchase rather then let the buyer think about it.

One of the worst parts about moving is that I keep seeing good deals on records that would be shipped from overseas and I feel like I can't buy them, because they might not show up in time. :P

That is a blessing in disguise. You're not even a DJ! You're gonna have to start if you keep buying records.

    2 new Bunker parties

    Beyond Booking presents
    THE BUNKER

    May 21, 2014

    with DJs:
Neel (Voices From The Lake, Spectrum Spools | Rome)
Bryan Kasenic (The Bunker | Brooklyn)

    The Panther Room
74 Wythe Avenue (enter on North 12th Street)
    9p -
    21+, FREE

Join us for a free evening of music with Voices From The Lake's Neel and The Bunker's own Bryan Kasenic. The intimate confines of The Panther Room, not to mention the immaculately tuned Function One sound system, will allow them to make this an extra deep and heady journey.

Italian Giuseppe Tillieci has always been as interested in the technical aspect of sound as he has the music itself. Furthering his understanding at University in both Rome and Rotterdam has leant his music a visceral and very unique quality that fuses rhythm and texture with techno and ambience in hugely captivating ways. A long-term professional and personal relationship with Donato Dozzy culminated in the pair working together as venerated techno duo Voices From The Lake, whilst Neel's own music - deep, obscure and fluid as it is, continues to appear on labels like The Bunker New York and Spectrum Spools

    https://soundcloud.com/neel

Bryan Kasenic (pka Spinoza) is known in the electronic music world for throwing The Bunker, playing adventurous DJ sets, and starting Beyond, his own booking agency. The past few years have seen Bryan take his infamous Brooklyn-based party, The Bunker, to Panorama Bar in Berlin, Corsica Studios in London, Unsound Festival in Krakow, Communikey Festival in Boulder, Decibel Festival in Seattle, Smartbar in Chicago, GAFFTA in San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and of course Detroit. In January 2014, The Bunker celebrated it's 11th Anniversary and launched a record label.

    Beyond Booking presents
    THE BUNKER LIMITED

    June 13th, 2014

    with DJ
    DEREK PLASLAIKO
(The Bunker, Interdimensional Transmissions | Berlin)
    8 hour set

    Trans Pecos
    915 Wyckoff Avenue

    all ages, 10p-6a
    $20 early bird, $30 advance

    more info:
    http://thebunkerny.com/events/2014-0...erek-plaslaiko

As The Bunker continues to grow significantly, many of you have expressed a desire to turn back the clock to the good ole days when the party was weekly at subTonic for 100 people or so. We miss those days as well, so in 2011 we launched a new series of events called The Bunker Limited. For The Bunker Limited, we bring a ridiculous sound system into a very small space, and limit attendance to 150. Last year we said goodbye to Public Assembly and the small loft space above it that housed The Bunker Limited. In 2014 we relaunch The Bunker Limited in a new art space we could not be more excited to be a part of, Trans Pecos. There will be no guestlist for The Bunker Limited, the only way we can pull this off in a space this small is if everyone pays. The sets at these events are not recorded, and absolutely no photography is allowed inside.

Joining us tonight is our legendary resident DJ, Derek Plaslaiko, The Demigod of Insane Partying™. While living in New York, he appeared at nearly every party we threw during the key years of 2006 to 2010, and really helped us define our vibe and sound. He often outshone the guest DJs, and became a huge crowd favorite. Derek left us for Berlin in 2010, but has remained a resident DJ at The Bunker, appearing 2-3 times a year. While it's always nice to have Derek back for an opening or closing set, we've really felt like that special something was missing. Anyone who has been to one of the parties at Inciting HQ in Philadelphia where they give Plaslaiko the entire night, or experienced one of his extended afterhours sets at Blood & Thunder knows exactly what we're talking about. So we're bringing in NikSound, giving Derek the entire night, and flying him in from Berlin just for this set so he is super focused and not exhausted from a long string of US tour dates.

    7/24 Teenage Fanclub @ Pier 84

Yeah, Haxan Cloak was one of the most intense (and awesome) sensory experiences of my life. Reminded me of the James Turrell "Perceptual Cell" exhibit at LACMA, only twice as long and far more audibly aggressive (and also 300 degrees hotter).

Here's a sample video that I found via Twitter:

this is exactly how i explained it to friends--complete immersion, very akin to turrell. so much to explore perceptually with very few elements. everything really came together for that show.

I know I've mentioned (gloated about?) this before, but when I saw the Haxan Cloak in London, the plaster ceiling on the building actually started to crumble and fall on the audience. :-)

that sounds about right. the show was incredibly loud in that basement--funktion one system in a 200 person capacity space.

So that was my first (brief...) visit the the Church on York... I expected it to not be well ventilated but, I didn't know it was in the basement.

Anyway, I don't know how anyone stayed in there for that show...you literally could barely breathe. We literally walked in for 45secs, all looked at each other, and walked out. Honestly not sure how safe that even was. There was more people juice floating around than any grimey warehouse rave I've been to.

Of course the show was on the hottest day of the week, meh... hopefully he comes back in the fall or for dB.

that strobe destroy your eyeballs, ray?
That show really was something else. Immersive is really the right word for it. The constant strobe was nutty.

Fuck, was it hot though. I was bathed in sweet by the end. It's an amazing sound system, in a tiny basement, but it could use some goddamn fans.

Group'd Further Reductions' Woodwork which is Shawn O'Sullivan and Rose on vocals and released on Minimal Wave's sub-label Cititrax. Lots of dark spacey atmospheres mixed with a tad bit of rough analogue techno. I think many here will enjoy it.
