Silent Servant unleashed hell upon us last weekend. Cool guy to hang out with too, a shame he doesn't take more US dates though. Look out for the LP produced by him and Lucy; it's reallyfucking good.
Peter van Hoesen will be stateside in Sept/Oct

"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
Going over some recent Boiler room sets....

Leaving New York on Wednesday. Really sad to go.. Mike Huckaby/ Giles Smith were incredible last weekend and the mister saturday/sunday anniversary parties were beyond incredible this weekend. I haven't been on this board for a while due to being freaked out by he SS Coachella thing (although I probably should have expected it at this point).
I can't get enough of this new Kangding Ray release on SA:
Really excited for his set a decibel. Raster Norton Showcase ftw.
What have you guys been bumping lately?

The Kangding Ray Monad release has been on heavy rotation in my car. "Cercle" and "Thar" are such well crafted techno tracks, weighty with a touch of acidity. That release had me go back and relisten to Or again--that man does not disappoint.
waka waka
Ghosting Season - The Very Last Of The Saints is exceedingly nice. Kind of slow moving over the course of an entire album, but it's the kind of post rock indebted techno that wraps you up in layers of hazy texture and drifts blissfully on.
So. I had a thought. Would people be interested in having a featured artist of the week in here every week? The world of techno is so vast and difficult to penetrate that it'd probably be invaluably helpful if we started sharing what we know about some of our favorite artists that maybe not everyone is familiar with. Post favorite tracks, mixes, give us a little history, everyone kind of listen to some stuff together and discuss their reactions.
YES.
5/25-5/27: MOVEMENT DETROIT

Guess it's an anonyomous producer releasing tracks on Shifted's label, Avian. Has to be someone w/ some serious chops. Wonder if it's Blawan ... bunch of these MPIA3 tracks pop up in that recent life festival set. Anway ...
