I used to get baked and eat the whole thing. like 3200 calories.
I was working a job where I sat for 8 hours, made good money and I was living at home with my parents. When I would get home, I would spend another four hours in front of my computer at home or several hours at my turntables spinning records while snacking on everything in sight. I would spend my money on fast food and dining out, but would order way more than I should have. I went from September of 1999 to January of 2003 with zero exercise whatsoever.

went on an hour hike last night. that marcos de niza trail at south mountain kicks my fucking ass. i counted last night, there are 7 inclination spots. the 5th one is the fucking worst. but i made it. and inhaled a philly cheesesteak afterward![]()

never had that - when chicpea was at its peak (astor place stop in EV) and was still deep fried that was a step ahead of mamouns
mamouns prbly reigns supreme now, GREAT late night snack (fairly healthy) and it's cheap

i wasn't the biggest fan of that place - a lot of bridge and tunnel crowd imho
i've been there a few times though

yea good call. blue & gold has the best deal in manhattan (and one of the best jukeboxes) $5 shot AND a beer ALL THE TIME. it was crazy...loved that place
also - ran 10 miles in the past 2 days. have been hitting 15 miles per week for a while now, pretty proud of that.

yea it's good to switch up work-outs to keep your muscles "guessing"
i'm prbly the strongest i've ever been in my life right now, thanks to a best friend i work out with who's basically a personal trainer

I still think it might be asthma but I won't know until I can afford to go to a better doctor. I hadn't heard of high intensity interval training...I'm definitely gonna try that out. Thanks!
Thanks! Walking seems like a really easy way to just get into the mindset of exercising every day. The water thing helps! It's easier to just chug a glass of water than to make something anyway, particularly when I know I shouldn't be eating. I haven't used myfitness pal but I do have the Lose It app on my phone, which I'm assuming is similar. It does help to log everything I eat, since I feel like a big piece of crap when I eat too much. Haha.
I am definitely out of shape. I don't look bad at 150, I just don't look healthy like I used to. If I could just lose the gut and the love handles I would be way happier. The only reason I want to be at 130 is because I was a little less than that when I graduated and I looked wayyyy better then.
That's crazy. People used to make fun of my little sister (and probably me) in high school because we were so skinny but we would eat like crazy. If she would be going to the restroom, they'd ask her if she was gonna go throw up. So not cool. I threatened to beat a couple people up for that.
I wish I was a size 2 at 140 lbs! I'm a size 6 at 150.
Hahahaha. When I first got my gym membership and would work out with a trainer, my boyfriend told me my boobs were getting too strong. Lol. He said when I go back (I wasn't paying for it until recently) not to exercise my chest area at all. Haha.
Thanks for all the info! In regards to sugar, IF I was able to cut it all out, but still have sugar in my coffee, would that be effective? Or, at least better then eating a lot of it? I hate artificial sweeteners.
I'll keep that in mind about pushing too hard. A couple of times when I worked with a trainer, I left feeling like I was going to throw up or pass out, or both. I really hated that.
I never skip meals...lol. I know what you mean though.
Those are really cool. I had no idea hula hoops could be so expensive.
This is exactly what happened to me. I used to be able to eat like there was no tomorrow. Then all of a sudden I was wondering why I looked fatter. It probably didn't help that I started smoking either. Lol.
Hahaha nice!
Hah, you misunderstood me because my wording was awkward. *when* I weighed 140, I wore a size 2. I would never try to be that weight again. I looked like there was something wrong with me... I'm quite happy being heavier and having T&A.![]()
Lol I see. Well I am happy for you. I have almost no butt but I'm cool with that.
I weighed in at 183 Saturday, a three pound decrease from the week before. Shooting for 181 by Saturday.
great job GiT
also - people looking to drop weight, i strongly suggest reading up on calorie counting and possibly putting your metabolism into "starvation mode". even though a calorie deficient on a daily basis is required for weight loss you don't want to go too low or your metabolism will grind to a halt and you'll be doing more damage than good.
starvation mode: http://www.builtlean.com/2010/04/27/...eating-enough/
calculate your body's calorie burn: http://www.builtlean.com/2010/03/14/...-calorie-burn/
* make sure to use the multipliers if you're working out more than a couple times a week
* personally I use the Harris Benedict method
* you want to shoot for a 15-25% caloric deficient, less of your calculated BMR to find your daily net caloric intake.

What's everybody's favorite calorie counting apps?
I'm only doing Kegel exercises to prepare for Coachella. I'll keep you updated with my progress.
myfitnesspal. dani and a girl at work turned me onto it. you can also keep track of water and exercise.
even though i feel absolutely overwhelmed with pain today, i took a 20 minute walk. it hurts to walk, but i did it. and i don't regret it. this was probably the hardest day this year to get out the door. i'm quite proud of myself.
