Anyone else care about or watch this?
Who do you think did it? I dunno, but that school teacher is definitely acting suspect. I feel like it's way too early in the series for it to really be him....

Me!
I'm totally hooked. A couple of us were talking about it in the general TV thread. I absolutely love the lead actress. I thought she looked familiar and then realized (or read?) that she was in Big Love. She conveys so much with just the slightest look.
I agree with you; way too early in the season for the teacher to be the killer. I'm sure he's just a red herring. But everyone in this show seems to have a secret so who knows where that storyline's going. So many possibilities. I wouldn't be surprised if the mayor is responsible.
If anyone saw the original series, no spoilers, please!
my roomates and i are hooked on this show too. the only thing that bugs me is the way the lead actress chews that nicotine gum... drives me fucking crazy!
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
tonights episode was definitely the lamest of the season. 100% filler.. meh..

Fun fact:
After seeing Bennet's wife a few episodes ago, I thought 'wow, she looks so familiar...wait, that's not the little Seaver kid from Growing Pains...it couldn't be...'
IT IS.

my wife and i both laughed hysterically at the awful music and directing when the parents find out their kid is dead. really bad... this is like a ball-less twin peaks.
twin peaks came out when i was like 5.. i've liked how the killing started out minus an episode or two, acting definitely not superb but what are ya gonna do that seems to be the case with the amc series (never seen breaking bad though). hoping things start pickin up again, last nights ending definitely has me enthralled again.

Just watched the last two episodes. I'm still absolutely hooked. Not sure about the acting critiques in this thread; I think all of the principals are excellent.
So, question... in the prior week's episode something strange happened. Rosie's father and mother were greeting attendees of the funeral. One man stopped, shook their hands and said that someone else couldn't make it but sent his/her regards. Then, Rosie's aunt (who's been helping with the boys) said hello to the man and he gave her the cold shoulder. She was really upset by this reaction. Any idea who this man was?
^I vaguely recall this, I will have to rewatch it and take a closer look.
edit: I do think that both the cops are doing a solid job in the acting department, and the look on Bennet's face with the dad in the rain was very believable and I am positive it could not be him. It's just some random times I feel others on the show lose the momentum, imo.
Speaking of last weeks episode, anyone see before they showed Darren the new campaign promo commercial the glance Jamie and Gwen shared? She gave him this smile. I could be grasping in the dark, but Jamie has a way about him, and I don't know if I trust that little guy so much....could he and Gwen be in on a little something behind his back, if not be the possible killers? And didn't Gwen cheat on him too? Darren is way too trusting for sure, though. I feel like if it was him, it would be kind of unfitting....

Just watched the most recent episode. I'm unclear on one thing...how did Linden get the piece of paper that had the 106R address on it?

Yup. I was watching on DVR so I rewound and you can see a woman in a headscarf walk behind them toward the shoe holders for a minute before exiting the mosque.
So it was an anonymous member of the mosque dropping them a clue/possibly setting them up (hence the FBI arrest)?

One of the weaker episodes I've seen so far.
no one is watching this anymore?
The last episode was really good. Looks like things are finally looking up....
just finished watching this weeks episode, i think it may have been the best yet.
This ain't no middle of the mall shit.
Yeah, solid episode this week. There was obviously more to it than just Bennett, glad they're finally moving past that.

We don't know if Bennett is dead yet though....I think.the series is going to shift to the assemblyman's campaign's role in the killing.
By the way, this show is underrated. I don't understand why it hasn't gotten its due from the message board.
At this point I have a hunch that Rosie's dad has something to do with it, however it turns out. Not that he wanted it to happen, but that her death is the result of him fucking somebody over in his shady past.
