'round here in Kansas City, out of nowhere this week, something billed as Kanrocksas started asserting itself as a major festival that will share Lolla's weekend, and more than likely some of its acts.

Not much else has been announced, though it will have camping and they think they can sell 100,000 tickets.

Lineup will be announced on Monday, and they're having a press event for the unveiling - is this normal?

KC gets no love for festivals, aside from our annual "Rockfest" (think Godsmack, Seether, other awful sounds,) I'm really excited about this. Anyone hear anything about it?
