Rhythm is a dancer.
Why?

I think it is sound reasoning to purpose that Karin has an appreciation for attempting to perform music live and may want to do that with The Knife.
.
Tell me about the the Knife's past live performances... Was there no live music aspect or what?

This is just going to turn into Babytown Frolics, but against my better judgment, here goes: I think it's completely irrelevant. Karin is one half of The Knife. We don't know what the other guy thinks. We also have no idea how Karin felt about her experience playing live. Just because many of us enjoyed Fever Ray performing live, that's no reason to think one way or another as to whether or not the two members of The Knife would, in fact, decide the live performance approach would be the best for their particular catalogue.
Karin sings live. Olof hits a drum pad with a stick, but I'm not convinced it does anything.
The drum pads were just there for show. Certainly the visual aspect of the show is very engaging, but the music is far from what a lot of us consider to be "live." It's essentially the equivalent to a DJ set. Or, karaoke.
interesting... I've watched all the Oni Ayhun footage I can get my hands on and his live PA set is very compact. I gather he uses similar equipment for the Knife. It's surprising what you can do with a custom controller and a computer.
I'd still love to know more about their live mechanics... I'm surprised this hasn't been discussed in interviews... (i haven't seen one in which they discuss this matter, anyway)

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I loved The Knife live. And we really have no idea what they may pull out on a hypothetical new tour. But based on their previous live appearances, my fear is that people expecting a show as impressive as Fever Ray's will be disappointed.
It's worth noting that apart from some guitar work, the bulk of the songs for the Fever Ray shows were played to backing tracks.
Edit:
I should have said all, not bulk. All of the songs were pretty much just recordings.
I think you assumed a lot from my posts. I didn't say they were going to do one or the other. I left it open that either was a possibility. My point was that assuming they would do the SAME thing was silly. What you are saying is not an opposition to that... You sound like you just want to argue.
Edit: These new posts are a lot softer. We are essentially saying the same thing. I have a feeling most people are just going to be happy to see the see The Knife... If they tour.
