Gorillaz. Easily.
Gorillaz 2010
Kanye West 2011
Gorillaz. Easily.
Doesn't that fictional asian hologram popstar refute the claim that Gorillaz couldn't use the Grammy because loud speakers mess up that technology?

Iron Maiden, Boards of Canada and Underworld for 2013
I am not going to say the Gorillaz blew my mind and were sooo super amazing, but they were much better than Kanye. I was SOOO tired of hearing Kanye by the end of his set. The Gorillaz did end with a wimper instead of a bang, but I think that was the point. I didn't like it at the time, but I was left wanting MORE!
It all comes down to who's music you like better. If you have never heard either, and went to both shows with an open mind and no musical biases I think one would choose the Gorillaz based on the DEPTH and DIVERSITY of the music, over 'just Kanye'.
I just realized several days later that I should not have voted in this poll since I didn't go this year. WHOOPS.

If you voted for Kanye you're a douche.

seriously this. when you open to 30 ballerinas running around the stage, you are lacking in the music department. i really thought kanye's set was a big egotistical joke...
gorillaz's set might have been a little disappointing, but i love their music and i was singing along and enjoying myself. i love kanye's first two albums and halfway through the show it felt like he had only played the two singles from those albums.
so i chose gorillaz
The more I think about Kanye's set the more I liked it. He didnt have any backtrack, and his voice sounded clear and on-beat. He played all the songs I wanted him too with the exception of the song Spaceship.
I loved The Gorillaz set right off the bat, but that could have been the dose speaking. I think the performances were pretty even.
People are too hard on the closers. If you wanted to have a good time, it was right there waiting for you
I like Gorillaz more than Kanye but for me Mr. West's performance was way better. The backtrack rap's for Gorillaz REALLY bugged me and there wasn't a lot of energy from where I was standing. I thought Kanye's sound was great and I had a good group of fans surrounding me, just all around had a better time.
I dont know why people were expecting so much from the gorillaz. YOU set your expectations out too far and left disappointed because elements you ASSUMED would be there werent, in turn just holding yourself back from having a good time.
I thought their set was amazing. I loved every song, yes it did sit flat for a little bit at the end but i liked how it ended peacefully with the weekend. It would have been nice if the volcano didnt effect some of the guests acts being able to show up.
Im not a huge fan of kanyes music but he sure does know how to put on a show, ill give him props on that. After about 20 mins though i had to leave as i just didnt want to listen to the same music over and over.
my vote is for the gorillaz
Lord Huron -> C2C -> Beardyman -> Pete Tong -> Lee Scratch Perry -> Modest Mouse -> Beach House -> Purity Ring -> Jurassic 5 -> How to Destroy Angels -> Birdy Nam Nam -> Allen Stone -> The Selecter -> Puscifer -> Violent Femmes -> Simian Mobile Disco -> Moby -> Wild Belle -> Grimes -> James Blake -> Pretty Lights -> Wu-Tang -> OMD -> Roni Size & Dynamite Mc -> Dead Can Dance
I love that everyone is pimping Kanye but he's still losing the poll.
THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!
Kanye is the only time I walked out on a sunday headliner....
Obviously the Gorillaz are my vote. No contest in my mind.
Snorillaz v IgotPaidye
They both sucked.
