Are all the venues all ages, or atleast 18+?
I just realized, I will be in town for a wedding during most of the festival...nice!!

This festival is tits. Utilizing Showbox Market and especially the Paramount theater, which holds about 2,200, makes me think they're stepping their game up and going after some bigger acts. An idea that has me extremely excited considering their steadfast dedication to quality.
I'm buying my ticket May 1.

I've been looking for a reason to use my free southwest flights.
There is awesome shit going on all day, all week. And truly unique acts, just do yourself a favor and plan on coming.
I went both years I lived there and definitely was not disappointed. Actually, my first show living in Seattle was a dB Fest show.
Edit:
In '09, the preliminary line-up came out in late June, with the full line-up out the beginning of August. In '10, the full line-up was out by late July, including breakdowns by day.

I'll have to check my vacation time, if I have time off, I might be able to make a long weekend out of it.
I'm certainly going... probably won't grab my pass until after DEMF. but I've already been scanning airfare. GOOD looking prices!!! 8^)
and yea, KB, lineup in june, tons of adds and stuff.
My favourite part of the entire festival was partying RIGHT UNDER the space needle (sky needle? you know what i mean). I mean, it was a dubstep set (Plastician, Mary Anne Hobbes) but it was just unbelievably cool.

Tempting!
How far is this from you Sleepingrock? I forget where your college is...

This looks like it could be pretty good, I'd really like to see some Crosstown Rebels artists like Maceo Plex or Art Department. Maya Jayne Coles too.
you should go to demf.
but I agree... Art Department would be great

Passes were delayed until sometime 'early this week'. 8-/

Discounted First Tier Passes for the 2011 Decibel Festival go on sale May 4th through http://bookr.net/
tix on sale tomorrow
weird.
very un-dB to not so much as mention the May 1st debacle and to partner with an unkown (to me) ticketing agency, presumably last minute.
oh well...

The line up is going to be tiered, like the passes. Passes go on sale tomorrow and our first round of artist announcement will be coming the end of May.
Eff Portishead and their sorry excuse for a NA Tour.
