RIP TV On The Radio's Gerard Smith.

We are very sad to announce the death of our beloved friend and bandmate, Gerard Smith, following a courageous fight against lung cancer. Gerard passed away the morning of April 20th, 2011. We will miss him terribly.

Sad. I thought that he was on the comeback from their last update.

Awful news. Very young and sad. Then for the other members to have to be on the road attempting to deal...terrible.

Yes, very sad! I just went to go look up the date for their upcoming LA show and read this. I also thought that he was on the comeback. Shitty.
