so I met this contact tonight who got me a +1 to the Andrew W.K. show @ the Echoplex on Tuesday May 10th, and I thought, "what better way to use my +1 than with an auction for it on the board?" this ain't your average auction though people: I'm not asking for $$$ here, oh no no.......what I am asking for is someone to do the most weirdoawesome thing they can for the ticket. Obviously this is very subjective, and if you know me then you already have the inside track, but I will be open to any and all proposals. Need some ideas? Dress up in costume for the show, take me out to a "weird" restaurant experience, do an interpretive dance for me to Shpongle/Ween/some other "weird" music, take me to your parent's house and have a pillow fight, collect bugs in jars then watch them battle to the death, etc. I'm looking for the weird that is cool......I don't like ventriloquists & contortionists nor do I like freak shows and tweaker hoes, so please, use your best judgment in trying to think of something to be both weird and awesome! May the most weirdoawesome win the ticket!

Is this going to be Andrew WK doing his material from his solo albums? or what is the deal? 12 bucks for Andrew WK, and Wavves sounds like a fun cheap night.

Trash Talk will be great too.

I think it's called "solo show" because he'll be performing without a band. What he will be playing I have no idea, but the "party hard" indicates there would be some I Get Wet era material being played

this is what I wanted to hear, Trash Talk will be awesome too, I don't know why I left them out. I think this is a must. I'm gonna talk to some friends about going.

AWK solo shows are generally him playing keyboard and flipping out to backing tracks, and in pretty much any live setting he plays almost exclusivley I Get Wet material (which as a fan of all his records is dissapointing, but whatever).

The last time I saw him play was him doing improv on a grand piano for 20 minutes. It was weird and awesome. Then he gave people noogies.

Yeah, last time I saw him he did recital of classical pieces backed by a string quartet, then finished with Party Hard, I get Wet and I Love New York City. Awesome show.
