but saying that you don't like it when people use camera angles to be artsy is like saying you don't like it when people who can't paint paint a shitty painting and think its good.

When a popular movie spawns endless documentaries on tv relating to the subject of the movie (Titanic, The Davinci Code, and now 300)

ok, i know what ya mean cody...I kinda agree with you...but I also think camera angles can get overused and sometimes be used for no real reason, and that kinda irks me too (but only when film students do it).

I see what you mean. But I get irritated when film students do anything at all. So I'm biased.

Overkill with expository dialogue in action movies are annoying.

When the movie tries to establish just how badass the action hero is, it's always some old general explaining to another official looking old fart, "this man's served tours in world war 2, the vietnam war, the gulf war, the war on terror, eats rocks for breakfast and shits gunpowder...blah blah blah"

I hate when TV programs start by showing a skyline of a city then the front of a house or an office then the show starts on a set and your suppose to believe that they are really there.
    Whiskey Sour

    2 oz blended whiskey
    Juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 tsp powdered sugar
    1 cherry
    1/2 slice lemon

Shake blended whiskey, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a whiskey sour glass. Decorate with the half-slice of lemon, top with the cherry, and serve.

    Unnecessary dialogue/scenes/slo-mo. Ugh.

When filmmakers make the same movie over and over again. (see Spielberg, Bruckheimer, practically every Hollywood director)

When actors play the same role over and over again. (see Tom Hanks, Denzel, Adam Sandler, 90% of Hollywood females (though it's not always their fault))

The MPAA and American audiences in general. I swear, some people are just as entertained by a shiny coin.

I hate movies that have a moral lesson thrown in. I just want to be entertained, or else I'll watch a documentary.

I hate when they reduce the ending credits of a show to 1/3 of the screen so that they can play commericals. You don't get to see the names of the actors any more.
