I had a blast at Pacific OC last year. The only negative was absurd beer lines. Hopefully this happens again and not during OSL.

its happening... i had heard otherwise, but seems things have changed. The guy that does Pacific Fest is now in charge of booking for La Cave and Detroit and has been super busy.

honestly not that big of a stretch, especially if your not looking for a big paycheck and just want to be involved.... Growlers, Gantez Warrior, and TRMRS all played last year, if i remember correctly.

i think because they got so far behind this year its a matter of finding a weekend that fits best for the artists they are trying to book. Im sure the folks who own the venue/land gave them a few different weekends to choose from and we'll have our dates by the end of June.

haha, my ten year conflicted w/ Outside Lands this year.... but no one wanted to go so it was cancelled. Doubt it'll be any later than the end of Aug. I have a feeling we'll have dates and a chunk of artists by the pre-party. Not much longer....

Pacific Festival is back! The date is set, Dawn Patrol pre-sale tickets are on-sale now for Pacific Festival: The Dunes, Sunday, September 2, 2012. We're excited to host this new event at an amazing venue, the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort and Marina, located on the water's edge of the Pacific Ocean.

Pacific Festival: The Dunes will showcase our favorite live music acts, the best local foods and lots of other surprises that we'll be announcing as we get closer to this year's event on Labor Day Weekend.

the dunes in newport? that's where my daughter goes to summer camp, haha. what a weird location, not much parking, must be a small attendance cap, it's a year round rv resort. guessing curfew will be early, too, with all those million dollar homes on the bluffs across the bay. may cruise by since i can ride my bike down, will be able to hear it from our house. steve aoki, newport high alum, keeping it local.

so the dunes is the lagoon area in this pic, assume stages in the parking lot? but even that is a small area. no way they are closing down the boat ramp during that weekend.

Gonna pick up one of these early tix, if the lineup sux or I prefer FYF on Sunday I will sell.

Wish I was at Oak Canyon for the last one, that looked much nicer.
