Maybe this is more of a wish than a reality, but I'm banking GV wouldn't want her to headline. Doesn't she take like 5 mins between each song?
I'm almost positive I'd see somebody else over her, but Gaga makes sense to me although I'm not sure I can clearly articulate why. Huge pop act that has some sort of musical credibility. For whatever reason, I think the same arbitrary difference that separates Jay-Z/Kanye from TI/Wayne/Rick Ross applies here with Gaga vs. Rihanna/Katy Perry.

That being said I doubt she's a priority or a first choice headliner, I just wouldn't be surprised to see her on the poster.

What would be crazy if we got Outkast, Daft Punk, & Radiohead to headline Fri/Sat/Sun 2012....and they all sucked/bombed....and everyone on this board had a HUGE fucking crisis of conscience.

Yeah that's totally great when artists suck and the coachella experience is ruined... get a clue on the difference from cynicism and sarcasm.

Absolutely no way that Bjork or OutKast subheadlines if they are there. Not a chance.

PLus his subs are out of order in my opinion too, Queens of the Stone Age is second line material without a doubt, especially not behind Broken Bells. Primus and Rush shouldn't be that far down either.

Also, there is no chance Swedish House Mafia gets invited back when we already had Angello and Axwell sets right? The bros had to get that that was their sub-in for SHM right??? Please???

They'll have moved on to somebody else by next April anyway.

If Goldenvoice could get Swedish House Mafia for next year I don't see why they wouldn't, even if Angello and Axwell played this year.

Sidenote, I have a good feeling Kaskade is gonna return again next year, unfortunately.

nah, there's no album...There was talk of a new kraftwerk album (In 2009 http://www.side-line.com/news_commen...=43735_0_2_0_C) due out in 2010. But it just sorta fizzled out. I guess they started working on it and probably just ditched it. The sad fact is that Florian Schneider is no longer with them anymore.

I could really see Kaskade coming back next year, he's only gotten bigger since '10 and he is huge in Southern California although for the life of me I can't figure out why. I feel like Calvin Harris is also a fair bet, but I also think the "obvious" Sahara picks will become more transparent closer to Coachella depending on who has the biggest hits (ie Take Over Control and One pretty much guaranteed the Afrojack, Steve Angello and Axwell sets this year, and everybody saw Skrillex coming but didn't realize how packed it would be). The good EDM will be trickier to predict, obviously, but the bro choices will be all too obvious.

For the Good EDM, with how popular Sasha was this year, I say GA needs to pick up John Digweed and Dubfire. I would also like to see Eddie Halliwell and Simon Patterson.

Friday: Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, Fleet Foxes, Arctic Monkeys, Okkervil River
Saturday: Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, Pixies, Cat Power, Beach House, Handsome Furs
Sunday: David Bowie w/ special guest Win Butler, Tv on the Radio, Bon Iver, Yeasayer, Miike Snow
My Longshot delusional fantasy headliner (who could push Wilco to the fourth headliner spot): Talking Heads
All of them are done with albums or should be done with them by next spring minus the classic ones

first off i doubt that GoldenVoice could get SHM to headline ... even if it is just in the sahara.
why would SHM allow people on the west coast to see them outside of EDC?
it would be diluting their own appeal. just like how on the east coast you have to go to ULTRA or this year miami music week to see them all together. they are very smart and only play large festivals where they are the main act and can demand much more $$, at least here in the USA

    with that being said

The Rolling Stones/OutKast/Red Hot Chili Pepers
    Justice/Rihanna/Kid Cudi/Armin Van Buuren/Drake/Tiesto

probably the worst prediction i have ever seen.

EDIT: minus the stupid "dp/radiohead/"insert overhyped prediction here" "prediction". but that doesn't count.

Incubus (probably w/electronic post-headliner like Armin van Buuren or deadmau5 or omgdaftpunk)
    Bjork
    Tool

If Lolla didn't have Foo Fighters, Coldplay, Eminem, APC, I might be more inclined to predict those, but I wouldn't be surprised if GV grabs one anyway.

Incubus can't headline. Sub at best.
