Coldplay-Death Cab For Cutie-Florence and the Machine-
Foo Fighters-QOTSA-Underworld-
Neil Young-Fleet Foxes-The Decemberists-
I'm convinced that they've asked Neil Young to play every year since 2009 and when they tell him he's subheadlining to a now mainstream indie rock act, he just laughs and hangs up the phone on them.
also
every fucking year you guys predict Daft Punk.
every. fucking. year.
give it a rest so you may at least be surprised if it does happen eventually
Headliners:
Dr. Dre
Foo Fighters
Phoenix/The Cars
Subheadlines:
Fleet Foxes
My Morning Jacket
The Decemberists
Modest Mouse
Adele
Basement Jaxx
Bloc Party
Girl Talk
Lupe Fiasco
Arctic Monkeys
M.I.A.
Just to defend Phoenix for a second, I could easily see them Headlining, even with them just being there 2 years ago. If you're booking bands for next year now, whats to distinguish them from Kings of Leons resume? KoL had 5 albums, 2 incredibly big hits in the US and had played Coach before. If Phoenix ends up releasing their 5th album this year, they're in the same boat. At least 2 incredibly big US hits (maybe more if the album is well recieved) and have played Coach before. Who knows, I mean it's a year out and there are so many maybes it's hard to even say but.
Listening To Right Now:
Broken Dreams Club by Girls - A-
Infinite Arms by Band of Horses - B
Cardinology by Ryan Adams and the Cardinals - B
I don't have Sahara headliners listed or even all subheadliners, mostly just random names formatted.
FRIDAY

Pulp - How To Destroy Angels - James Blake - Glassjaw - Young The Giant - Nero - Avicii - Gesaffelstein
SATURDAY

Queens of the Stone Age - Justice - Beady Eye - Dada Life - Noah & The Whale - Yuck - Feed Me
SUNDAY
Daft Punk
Death Cab For Cutie - Sigur Ros - Friendly Fires - The Avalanches - Flux Pavilion - The Vaccines - Sub Focus
I know Daft Punk is beaten to death but I'm having a hard time thinking of a third headliner. Also only APC if a new album really comes out by then.
This is not a joke.

This would be the year I decided to sell my tickets off. It'd be cool to see DP live.... but not cool enough to attend any festival that uses EITHER Cold Play or A Perfect Circle as their anti-headliners. You sir, are seriously stupid. Yes, I'm mentally formulating a list that you can all soon make fun of yourselves =)

Should have had Matthew Dear this year. Please have him in 2012. And it's about time for IAMX. (Really want a Sneaker Pimps set but I've given up on that.)

at Outside Lands in August Phoenix said they were going to take a break from touring to work on their next album. 2013 seems more feasible
Yeah, but by Coachella 2012 it will have been more than a year since they said that.
