I agree with Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd never happening. I'm afraid that if David Bowie ever does show up that he will mark the end of the festival, how do you top that?

The end of the festival would be:

Friday - Radiohead, The Smiths
Saturday - Daft Punk, Boards of Canada
Sunday - David Bowie, Outkast

That's literally the majority of requests each year. There would be nothing to ask for ever again.

Kate Bush would be ridiculous, I'd love if that happened.

As for me, I have a soft spot for anything Fleetwood Mac/Tom Petty. The Smiths would make me jizz but I just don't see it happening.

Eric Clapton would be cool but only if he added some more rock to his current set...saw him a couple months ago, it was beyond amazing don't get me wrong, but I don't think it'd be right for Coachella. He played acoustic Layla instead of the original, tons of slower blues songs, and the audience didn't get out of their seats until Cocaine which was the last song of his encore. I just think that even though musically he's never been better, it would disappoint everybody who isn't a diehard fan. As much as I don't think bands should cave to audience expectations, I do think a headliner at a major festival should to some extent.

I would hope that if Eric Clapton does roll around to Coachella that he would alter his set to his Cream/Yardbirds/The Band songs for the most part, even though he has been pure gold for decades after, he would just fit better in the fest if he did.
