Default Wishlist for Older Classic Acts in 2012

So what old Farts do you want to see dehydrated next year?

    ELO
    Elton John
    Madness
    Oingo Boingo
Does Primus count as a classic act? They're recording a new album so I'm not sure.
I don't even have to mention who should be a headliner for next year, I'm sure someone will though.

Elvis Costello would also cool to see at this fest.

I'd want to see Spandau Ballet, OMD, and Tears For Fears to make my dad jealous. ELO sounds great! I'd like to see Peter Gabriel! And someone get Kate Bush on a voyage out to sea if she's ever going to cross the pond.

If I see Billy Joel at the Polo Fields (attending or performing), I will punch someone (preferably Billy Joel himself).

David Lynch during a 1 pm timeslot taste testing chocolate milkshakes for an hour.

Also Midnight Oil on the Outdoor Stage for some Australian hometown love.

Laibach playing their cover of Let it Be in its entirety because I know how much that album annoyed my friends.

    Realistic:

    Eric Clapton
Gary Numan (why he wasn't there this year I don't know)

    Somewhat Realistic:
    ELO
    Yes (with Jon Anderson)
    Robert Plant
    David Gilmour

    Unrealistic:
    Roger Waters performing The Wall
Neil Young (because it never seems to work out)
The Rolling Stones (too much money)

I agree with Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd never happening. I'm afraid that if David Bowie ever does show up that he will mark the end of the festival, how do you top that?

The end of the festival would be:

    Friday - Radiohead, The Smiths
Saturday - Daft Punk, Boards of Canada
    Sunday - David Bowie, Outkast

That's literally the majority of requests each year. There would be nothing to ask for ever again.

    EDIT:
You would have to throw the Talking Heads in there too.

Talking Heads (Byrne will give in one day)
Elvis Costello would be an excellent #2
    Neil Young will happen.
Elton John. I've heard he's an excellent performer, why the hell have I not seen him yet?

Kate Bush would be ridiculous, I'd love if that happened.

As for me, I have a soft spot for anything Fleetwood Mac/Tom Petty. The Smiths would make me jizz but I just don't see it happening.

Eric Clapton would be cool but only if he added some more rock to his current set...saw him a couple months ago, it was beyond amazing don't get me wrong, but I don't think it'd be right for Coachella. He played acoustic Layla instead of the original, tons of slower blues songs, and the audience didn't get out of their seats until Cocaine which was the last song of his encore. I just think that even though musically he's never been better, it would disappoint everybody who isn't a diehard fan. As much as I don't think bands should cave to audience expectations, I do think a headliner at a major festival should to some extent.

^Unless your name is Animal Collective and say It's my sexy Coachella stage I do what I want!

I would hope that if Eric Clapton does roll around to Coachella that he would alter his set to his Cream/Yardbirds/The Band songs for the most part, even though he has been pure gold for decades after, he would just fit better in the fest if he did.
