A lot of smaller bands did a really great job getting intimate with the crowd. YACHT was probably my favorite performance of the entire festival.

It was an aleatoric chamber with a piece of the song Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space continually looping, with five lights beaming into the center of the space. If you stepped into a light square, you would hear an isolated part of the track, and each light square had a different isolated piece. There was no description of it whatsoever so it was completely about discovery, and finding all the different sound combinations was out of this world.
Full disclosure: Spiritualized is one of my all time favorite acts, so the room was especially moving.
