The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival may have sold out three months ago, but two men got their hands on wristbands Friday — by wielding a knife.
An unidentified victim reported to Palm Springs police that two men holding a knife stole wristbands.
The armed robbery was reported at 4:20 p.m. near Vista Chino and Chaparral Road, adjacent to the Riviera Palm Springs Resort and Spa.
The men then fled east, police said.
The thieves were described as men in their 20s wearing shorts and no shirts.
Police searched the area but did not find the men or the wristbands.
