GoldenVoice you know you want to
ICP
A Stone Roses reunion for Coache12a would be Goldenvoice's most epic accomplishment.
One of the greatest bands most American's have never heard of.
This would be a real gem of an addition.
Make this happen!
Never gonna happen...

Eight LPs on eleven 12" records, eight cd albums, twenty-five 7" singles, deluxe packaging, MP3s. I can understand charging $400 for that; it comes out to about $11 for each vinyl record in the set. Jesus, people are paying $19 for each of those Radiohead remix singles right now.
I can also understand paying $60 for a cd box set and calling it a day, which is what I will probably do.
I REALLY hope this is indicative of a reunion. One can wish

In all honesty I think that the Smiths may finally reunite for two shows only at Coachella. I think one of the reasons that we are having two shows is that when they announce that they are playing tickets will sell out in a worldwide frenzy. The people who bought the tickets ahead of time will be rewarded. Both shows sell out in a day. Morrissey has already said he doesn't see himself doing this much longer "In an interview, with London radio station Xfm, Morrissey also stated that "chances were slim that he himself would continue performing past the age of 55." It would only make since at 52 years of age or so it would be a perfect time for himself, Marr, Joyce, and Rourke to say a final hurrah to The Smiths live. If they make it exclusive and do it only at Coachella then it would make Coachella the all time champion in getting bands back together. I fully support this. I also support Stone Roses if they were to get back together.
Smiths and Stone Roses... that would be my dream come true, can you image that?!
Coachella 2012: Arctic Monkeys, Belle and Sebastian, Bon Iver, The Horrors, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Vaccines!!! PLEASE!!!
I mean think about it besides a Pink Floyd Reunion or Radiohead. The Smiths are one of the few bands that would widely contribute to two instantly sold out festivals at the Polo Fields. The Stone Roses are great too but I doubt they would have the impact that the Smiths playing would. I would love to have a Coachella that has mostly Britsh, Scotish, and Irish bands all weekend though!
the 4 albums are most likely the same as the mp3 versions that came with the Smiths vinyl remasters a year or two ago - and they DO sound great, also refer to the Sound of the Smiths collection - Johnny Marr supervised all of it.
I think it could happen...
What is the difference between the Morrissey that showed up two years ago and the Smiths?? Morrissey still does Smiths songs.
wouldn't it make more sense for the Smiths to play in their home town of where ever the fuck in england they are from if they were gonna do a one off? why would they want to come to Coachella (besides for the money, of course) to do a one off? and after 2009 i highly doubt Morrisey will be coming back anytime soon.
besides, the smiths aren't that great anyways. if i wanted to listen to stuck up vegan preach about shit and whine then i can just go to work at whole foods. i
although i dont mind johnny marr.

None of Morrissey's session players can play guitar with the angular angst and ease as Johnny Marr. That is one reason why people want to see the Smiths. The other is it would just be cool for us that didnt get to see them. I was 12 when they broke up and obviously never got to see them. I have seen Morrissey lots of times and I have seen Johnny Marr with both The The and with Modest Mouse. It would be nice to see a reunion and though its not anywhere near the U.K. Coachella is a place where people around the world would flock to and be happy to see the Smiths here. The Smiths didn't have much of a presence here till they were gone. It was posthumously that generations following their demise started appreciating them. Goldenvoice is the one to do the job.
^^^ So true. Plus, Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce's contributions to The Smiths are so undermined.

A reunited Smiths would be able to play lots of region of the world they didn't visit the first time around. They'd do huge business in may latin countries. Even moz doesn't seem to play as many differnet places as he should.
Don't think the original Smiths played the Pacific Northwest or anywhere in Western Canada. AFAIK, Moz has only played Western Canada twice in his career - both in Vancouver in 1992 and 1997.
.... meanwhile back in the real world, Johnny Marr & Morrissey still hate each other and ........ guess what; John Squire is a painter with absolutely no interest in reforming The 'Roses and doesn't speak to Ian Brown.
I'm surprised some of you fantasists aren't asking Coachella to get Hendrix back to reprise his Monterey show - make this happen
There's more chance of me playing Coachella next year
