Buying Wristband off CL - Way to check if legit?

Hi all,

I'm buying a wristband off of Craigslist, meeting the seller on Thursday to pick it up. He said he's willing to go into the grounds with me, will that be enough to ensure that it's the real deal? I know you need it to get in, but do they scan it at that point? Or should I wait to give the cash until it has been scanned at some later time?

you can't get past the checkpoint without a wristband on, so I don't see how you're going to be able to get it scanned prior getting at the gate.

Just get a copy of his ID and write down his license plate....there no way to KNOW until the band gets scanned. If ot even does. No one knows what will happen. I paid for mine through layyaway and I can't tell you 100% that mine is active. Its a risk no matter whag. Have good vibes and don't steal or create bad karma. U will make it.

Okay, what I meant was that we would go to the checkpoint together. Wasn't sure if they scanned it there or what.

Make sure you get the box and all the stuff that came with the wristband. I doubt that a fake wristband comes with all that crap they packaged with the real wristbands.
