Thread: Tent camping without a Tent camping parking pass?

Default Tent camping without a Tent camping parking pass?

I am part of a group of 4 going to Coachella and sharing a tent camping spot. The other 3 are planning on arriving Thursday afternoon, but I can't make it out until early that evening. I plan on giving them the tent camping pass so that they can claim a spot and set up when they arrive. However, since I'm bringing the bulk of the stuff (and because I paid for the spot myself), I'd prefer to be the one who uses the tent camping parking pass, and let them park in the companion lot.

It took a while to get here, but my question is, will there be a problem with them being able to access the tent camping area without actually parking in the tent camping spot? In other words, can they park in the companion lot and still be able to bring their stuff to, and claim a spot in, the tent camping area?

    Thanks.

They can't claim a spot without a tent camping pass. They can park the car & walk around until you get there then they can run back and get the gear.
"Well, that's just like, you know... your opinion, man"

Right. Thanks for the reply, but I think you misread my post. As noted above, I'm giving them the tent camping pass. My question is if they need to PARK in tent camping PARKING in order to be able to use the tent camping pass to claim a spot.

According to the FAQ you need a vehicle WITH the camping pass in order to claim a spot, and once you claim a spot that vehicle can not be moved for the entirety of the festival (barring emergency).

So sorry man, but it looks like you'll be lugging gear.

    According to the FAQ:

"Each tent camping spot comes with ONE overnight tent camping parking spot with in/out privileges from 2am - 10am Thu-Mon."

And I don't see anywhere that indicates that you need a tent camping PARKING pass to use your tent CAMPING pass to claim a spot.

Not to be rude, because I appreciate the attempts to help, but can somebody who actually knows what they're talking about this answer my question?

I did already. They can roll in with a tent camping pass and set up. You can come later with the car and all the gear.

I didn't know what your "no" was originally referring to, since I asked three different questions.

But thank you, very much, for your answer.
