Why all the hate? I'm pretty excited to see them.

Me too. It was one of the better bands discovered during my research. Hopefully they bring it.
ewww they're like on the radio and stuff
Seeing Mumford on the lineup was a relief to me.
These guys put on a hell of a show I will be as close as possible!
That is true, but it's kind of amazing to me that a alt-country folk-ish band from the UK is getting all that attention. Hell, they even get played on KROQ here in So Cal - but after listening to their earlier stuff and even their latest album, I can definitely say I have become a fan. Looking forward to their set.

I know a lot of bands may have put a better show, better lights and stuff but for me, this was by far the best band of the festival... humble guys with LOTS of passion for their music and music in general, you could really feel the passion and love for what they were doing. I could have only seen them the entire festival and I would have made it all worth.
Amen, Bassbookie. The way the board was going, you would've thought they were Coldplay or Counting Crows. I'm just not sure how a band with a banjo player and stand-up bass whose main hit has to be bleeped out on commercial radio can be lumped in with all of those other "calculating" or "phony" bands that are out there.
I sat through Mumford & Bright Eyes to get prime spots for Animal Collective/Arcade Fire. Bright Eyes was meh to the extreme, but I thought Mumford & Sons put on a good show. The crowd was so into it, and the band seemed to be having a great time as well.
I like me some Mumford. Their set was solid, I was digging the keyboardists energy, the fuck song singalong was fun (expletiveche11a), and Blank White Page almost made me cry.
My main complaint was that they seemed a bit swallowed up by the Coachella stage. I think they would have been more suited to a sunset slot at the Outdoor (A la Cold War Kids or The National, 2 of my faves this year).
I kinda wished I had found the time to go see them at Ports o'call for the Railroad revival thing.
Felt like I was watching a concert on PBS, but they were good.

I think GV really lucked out getting Mumford in 2011 instead of 2010.
