    Default Wristbands deactivation

Does anyone think G.V. has the balls to deactivate bracelets know they can possibly deactivate a wrong one. Hopefully they just leave all bracelets out there alone.

They've already said they will be doing this. Bring your receipt in case it happens to you.

ya they can deactivate it. i got three wristbands in the mail instead of the two that i had originally ordered. i was gonna sell one of them off for extra cash but started getting paranoid about it so i wrote to intelltix and attempted to verify the two wristbands that i was going to keep. sure enough one of them was not activated so i would have been screwed if i sold the other. they told me they would deactivate my missing band and activate the one i had in hand because i gave them the verification number located behind the RFID chip. im glad i didnt sell it or i would have been screwed over!!!!

Looks like they are trying to fix a lot of issues with the old system though, which is good. took what? 10 years for a new idea?

Not to be a douche or anything, but maybe quit making such bold and certain statements about stuff if you don't actually know.

    I believe this.

Of course they have to say they're going to. The fear alone is obviously the best deterrent of sketchy bracelet activity. It's like having a police car sit in a median, even if there are no cops inside it, and nobody ever gets a ticket, it still slows everyone down.

But, if I were running coachella, I'd utilize the deactivate tool sparingly and only for the obvious cases, and really, that would be enough. Because those people will whine and cry on coachella.com/forum and to their friends and it will spread like wild fire through the camp site which will stop everyone else from even thinking about shady bracelet business. And I'd not try and use it as a means to police all suspicions, because then it will backfire, you will have people being wrongfully deactivated and an enormous amount of man-hours into trying to sort everyone out, when really, it's just not necessary to go this far to accomplish what you want to accomplish you really just need the fear that it "could" happen to stop people. Nobody's going to risk hundreds or even thousands invested into tickets/trip if that fear is real and is believable through a couple people who've been made examples of.

But I'm not running coachella. Yet.

But is there anyway at all to check to see if your wristband is still active if you did happen to buy one from third party?

I purchased two wristbands and received two wristbands. The package was addressed to me. Yet I now have an irrational fear that my wristbands will be randomly deactivated due to human error, submerging it in water (like when I want to go swimming at my hotel in the morning or shower at all during the weekend) or randomly passing by a magnetic field.

I am bringing my receipt as well as my bank statement so I can show I bought my two tickets and they were taken out of MY bank account. Then if there are still problems with my wristbands, I wil completely fucking freak out.
