It was looking like it might be the following Saturday, when everyone of real interest would be at Bonnaroo or in Europe. Still, I'm expecting Blink or Incubus to headline (bleh).

Cage the Elephant, Foster the People and Mumford and Sons all seem likely to play.

Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Rise Against, My Chemical Romance , 30 Seconds to Mars, The Strokes all have gaps in their schedules for that weekend too.

Based on Live 105 BFD lineup looks like Linkin Park is locked to headline, or at least co-headline if they also manage to get RHCP, Foo Fighters or Beastie Boys.

Doubtful The Strokes will be there since a Coachella headliner never played Weenie Roast in same year plus KROQ barely plays them anymore.

Cage the Elephant, Neon Trees, Foster the People, Lykke Li, Bad Religion, Middle Class Rut I would consider as locks to appear.

Your Strokes theory is questionable.

In 2008 or so their Acoustic Xmas had The Killers and The Cure on the same night both of whom played Coachella 4 months later.

Why would they just sit around doing nothing. Have they even played a show in LA yet?

i wish. weezer doesn't play too many of kroqs festival thingys. haven't played acoust xmas since 2001 and to my knowledge only played weenie once and and the deceased Inland Invasion twice

Having a Coachella headliner play at Weenie Roast a month and a half later diminishes the Coachella brand, especially since The Strokes would not be top-billed for Weenie Roast. Live 105's BFD show in Bay Area is far enough locations-wise such that it matters less, but even that is getting criticized esp. since The Strokes are billed behind both Linkin Park and Snoop Dogg.

If The Strokes really were playing Weenie Roast, they would get played a lot more right now on KROQ. On KROQ's yearly countdowns, lead singles "Last Night" was #3, "12:51" was #10, and "Juicebox" was #12 for the year. Yet "Under Cover of Darkness" somehow can't crack their weekly Top 20 Most Played, not even once in the past 2 months. In comparison, "Under Cover of Darkness" is the second most played song last week on Live 105 so of course they're playing Live 105's show.
