Ultra Music Festival's Russell Faibisch: Ultra 2012 "Will Be Bigger Than Last Year"
Just like the rest of the beat-freaking world, we here at Crossfade are rabidly anticipating Ultra Music Festival's imminent lineup announcement.
Two weeks ago, we received word from an anonymous source that the fest will be "taking over downtown Miami on the waterfront in a whole new way, like no event has done before." And just last Thursday, it was confirmed that Ultra 2012 will be taking over Bayfront Park.
So recently, we tried to coax Ultra cofounder and CEO Russell Faibisch into giving up the goods on this year's talent pool.
But predictably, he's keeping quiet. "We're close to making an announcement," Faibisch says. "Very close."
""Plans are already pretty much finalized," he adds. "But at this time, all I can say that [Ultra] will be bigger than last year."
"The plans are really exciting."
Ultra Music Festival 2012. Friday, March 23, to Sunday, March 25, 2012. Bayfront Park, 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. General admission tickets cost $299.95 plus fees or $599.95 plus fees for VIP. Visit ultramusicfestival.com.
Bayfront park is a new location rite? A bit south from last year?
"How long will this last, this delicious feeling of being alive, of having penetrated the veil which hides beauty and the wonders of celestial vistas? It doesn't matter, as there can be nothing but gratitude for even a glimpse of what exists for those who can become open to it."
I think so....

Ticket, flight and condo booked. Anyone stay in south beach previous years and have advice getting to and from the venue?
btw Hospital Records is doing a show at Eve (former WhiteRoom) again this year on Friday March 23...so far we got High Contrast, Netsky, and Camo and Krooked

There is no easy way to get to bayfront from the beach. Cabs are very hard to come by. If you have a car i suggest driving and parking.
New Order has been confirmed http://blogs.miaminewtimes.com/cross..._confirmed.php
I just saw that on CoS
Hopefully they pull a Duran Duran and play Coachella too

I came across this today....maybe this is the source for that? Seems very shady at best.
