Strokes were at Outside Lands this year so I'm not expecting them, Foo Fighters would be awesome.

Did anyone else catch Yeah Yeah Yeahs in 09 and think they sounded horrible compared to their Coachella set?

I honestly am expecting The Strokes. what makes them so unreasonable? yes, they did Outside Lands LAST YEAR. Plus, they have a new album out now and they've played before. It just makes sense to me, idk why.

I saw the Strokes at BFD '04, whatevs. I haven't been to a BFD since '08, which had a kick ass line-up in the Subsonic Tent. Over the last couple years, the Tent's line-up appears as if it was an afterthought. Let's hope that isn't the case this year. Also, why is BFD on a Sunday this year?

I feel that The Strokes are too big since the reunion to headline BFD. When is the BFD headliner ever one of the current biggest names in rock? They had the fucking Offspring last year, or was it the year before. And Cypress Hill a few years back. Do they ever have a headliner that is also capable of headlining Coachella/Lollapalooza/etc. the same year?

If they get the Strokes, I will be there and more power to them of course.

The Strokes have played BFD three or four times in the past. BFDs have a weird headliner logic to them, which make sense only for the BFD/Live 105 audience (see: Sublime with Rome).

I see it certainly as a possibility, the Strokes are on most likely the lower-end of major fest headliner asking prices (they were subs for Outside Lands, and are co-headlining Coachella with the much larger Kanye). It could happen.

Arctic Monkeys are playing in LA on the 3rd and don't have an SF date on that tour. I'm guessing they'll play this.

This will be my 5th BFD in a row. I'd sure love to see The Strokes headline, but not gonna hold my breath on it. My favorite subsonic acts: crystal castles, moby, mstrkrft, Matt & Kim, BT.

I think Middle Class Rut is booked for BFD. I believe I read something along those lines in a facebook update a few weeks ago. Live 105 has booked The Strokes twice at BFD. They played in the afternoon same year as P.O.D, Papa Roach, Rob Zombie, Cypress Hill and Jimmy Eat World. I believe that was in 2002. They also closed BFD the year that the Beastie Boys headlined with the afternoon set correct?

I'd like to see Forrest Day get a crack on the local stage this year. Anybody else catch one of their live shows yet?

They were also there in 2006, according to Google, with AFI as headliners (I can't confirm, I didn't go).

I am from germany and was at the BFD in '08 which was really great. Is there any way to get tickets for the show already now? I can't find it on any of the ticket sites - would like to have them safe so that I have another highlight booked for my san francisco trip 2011!

I am putting money on both Foo Fighters and Strokes being there. Foo Figters have headlined in the past if I remember correctly. Strokes could def sub-headline. There is a lot of politics involved with radio stations and neither of these bands should be counted out. People are putting too much into their reunion imo.

Also, just cause it's getting announced Sunday night doesn't mean Aaron isn't going to Coachella. He rents a house every year and goes hard from what I hear. I bet he will prob just fly back Sunday or have it prerecorded. I also vaguely remember him calling from another event (maybe coachella? Or something around nov/dec) to hype up the announcements...
